About the Homestay
I live in a large house that has three rooms, but I only rent one, with air conditioning, private bathroom and a small refrigerator. I live alone with my 15-year-old daughter, whose name is Rocío. I live on the first floor of Industria Street no. 110 between Colón and Trocadero, Havana Center.
The house has an outside balcony overlooking the neighborhood, which is very popular; spacious room, hall, dining room, hallway, kitchen and a rooftop above the house, which also the guest can access if desired. There is a table where you can have breakfast or sit down, and there is also a stationary bike where you can do exercises. In the house there is internet access, through a connection by modem.
The property is located in a very central place, two blocks from the Prado and three from the Malecon Havana; near the Museum of the Revolution (former Presidential Palace), Central Park, the Gran Teatro de La Habana Alicia Alonso, hotels, cafes, restaurants and the Historical Center of Havana, where you can reach on foot.
I can locate taxis to the guests and manage location in houses in the provinces of the country.
As a courtesy I also offer guests a free breakfast for the first day of their arrival at the house. This breakfast includes: coffee, milk, a fruit juice of the season, an omelet with two toasts (or scrambled eggs) with butter, or sandiwich of cheese or ham, plus some typical food of the country. Also, in case you wish, I offer you a free, one hour tour, through significant sites of the Historic Center of Havana, in Spanish. Once at home we agree on the day and time of the trip, which will be very attractive.

Teresa was amazing, this was a great stay!
She organized a pick up from the airport and then a drop off at the end of the trip, and her breakfasts were top notch!
The location was great as you could walk everywhere, also there is a really cheap Cuban restaurant around the corner called Dos Pelotes which was the cheapest place to eat in the city we found.
Teresa doesn't speak a lot of English but if you don't know any Spanish you can still manage, we did :)
Staying with Teresa was wonderful! She was extremely helpful and made sure we knew the best places to go as well as what prices were fair. She gave us directions on how to get to the beach and even packed us a lunch for that day. She is very friendly and made us feel like we were at home and part of her family. If I ever return to Havana, I will definitely be staying with her again.

The Teresa's house is not an anonymous hotel, but it's your house! Teresa is lovely, she gives you all her support and help you in everything! The breakfast was wonderful and various. The room is nice, with private bathroom and air conditional. The position is perfect and safe (1 minute from El Paseo del Prado and 10 minute from El Capitolio). I recommend if you want a real cuban house! If I come back to Havana, I will reserve in this house for sure.
I loved Teresa before I even met her. She emailed me straight after I booked to stay with her asking me if she could do anything to help me plan my trip. Once I was certain how long I would be staying in Cuba she responded with an itinerary that I might want to follow for my 3 week stay. She then phoned and booked my accommodation for me, meaning I had nothing left to do but sit back and enjoy my holiday! Teresa is an amazing host, friendly and an incredible women. I felt at home instantly. Her home is neat and clean and the room has everything you could want. The breakfast she cooked for me at 5CUC per day (but the first one is on her) was amazing- a cup of fruit, fruit juice, eggs and bread as well as fried bananas or potatoes. I often didn’t eat again until the evening it was so good! If you’re coming to Havana I recommend you stay with Teresa, she will make sure you have everything you need and will help you plan the rest of your holiday. I can’t wait to meet her again!
