My wife and I are welcoming guests in our place, we look forward to meet you all! We are fluent in English and will love to help with anything you may need before and during your trip.
Our apartment is really wide and equipped to ensure a comfortable stay, we ensure total privacy and a great base to go around and discover the magic of the old part of the city!! The apartment is located across the Bay's boardwalk, near the handcraft market, and Paula's Church.
There's a wide bed in the bedroom for two people, and a sofa bed in the sitting room allows 1 extra person. The place is very quiet, as it is located in a small buildings (only 10 apartments).
The apartment has a corridor after the entrance, equipped kitchen (refrigerator, range, microwave, coffeepot, etc.), wide sitting room/dining-room, bedroom, bathroom, and inner service patio. We will give you a cell phone with a local sim card that you can use during all your stay.
This is an independent apartment prepared just for the guests, but we are easy to locate if you need us.

About the Area
Our place is located in the Old Town, just in the Avenida del Puerto, a few meters close to the Bay and the maritime boardwalk. The local views and environment are amazing, and the population is visitors-friendly, so you can be able to see a really live dynamic in the neighborhood. The walking area (Alameda de Paula) across the building street, is also full of trees, which is an odd thing to see in the Old Town. All the Bay area is really peaceful and invites to a walk. Two blocks near the apartment is the ferry station, so you can cross the Bay and visit Casablanca´s fishermen village, Christ statue and mirador, and the old fortress in just 10 minutes. You can find around groceries, bakery, bars, restaurants, and access to WIFI Internet at close spots (two blocks near). The apartment is also very convenient from those coming in the cruise from the US, or that are planning to get the cruiuse in Havana, as the station is really close: 10 minutes walk.
Several attractions are really close to the apartment, as the handcraft market (Almacenes San José), the brewery (they craft and sell a wonderful beer there, cocktails and Cuban food, you should try it), the Museum of Rum, and the concert room at the old Church of Paula. You are also at a 5 minutes walk from Plaza Vieja (see the Dark Chamber there, and several modern arts galleries) and the key streets that connect to other important areas as the Cathedral, Plaza de Armas, Obispo Street, etc.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

Payment: we will collect the payment (in CUC, local currency) for the full length of stay during the check in.
The apartment and the building are very quiet and safe, keep the peace! If you smoke, please use the patio for that, it´s forbidden to smoke inside.
By law, official accommodations will request your passport information on the welcoming to update the house guestbook. This will take only a minute.
At the end of your stay, if for some reason (too early in the morning, job commitments, etc.) we can´t meet for the check-out, please leave the keys upon the table at the sitting room and when leaving close the door and make sure that it closed properly.

Notre séjour chez David était super. Le logement est très bien situé, tout proche du coeur de la Havana Vieja. David et sa femme sont des hôtes formidables, particulièrement attentionnés et disponibles. Ils nous ont gâté avec de quoi nous préparer des petits déjeuner, nous ont prêté un téléphone et nous ont aidé à organiser notre séjour.
L'appartement est très bien équipé, spacieux, très propre et la salle de bain est impeccable. Le seul tout petit bémol serait la climatisation un peu bruyante.
Nous leur souhaitons pleins de bonheurs avec l'arrivée de leur bébé durant ce mois d'aout.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
