Located in the Ciénaga de Zapata municipality, the largest wetland in the insular Caribbean, this small and hospitable fishing village is one of those places that dazzle with the beauty of its landscapes and the friendly treatment of its inhabitants.
In Caletón there are options for all ages. There are those who are pleased to discover the spectacular sunsets, the clear water of the streams and the amazing views of the sea. Others take advantage of the quietness of their beaches to dive or sail. You can easily visit the Guamá area with its Treasure Lagoon or reach La Cueva de los Peces.
Without a doubt, it is the perfect place to share with family and friends at any time of the year. The rental houses and the restaurants of exquisite Creole and international cuisine located here, give Caletón a touch of trust and hospitality.
But this small town also has a great history, and is that it is located inside the Bay of Pigs, a place that invaded the mercenaries paid by the CIA to demolish the Cuban Revolution and where the first defeat of imperialism in Latin America took place.
On the way to this site, on both sides of the road, you can see the monuments to the Cuban martyrs who fell in the battle of April 1961.
165 kilometers southeast of Havana is this town that catches the visitor's attention for the many fishing boats arranged in its inlets and for having a varied and abundant ecosystem.
Simply, Caletón is a space where history, nature and tranquility converge together, above all, to the affection of its inhabitants.

Very nice and spacious casa just a few steps from the beach and some nice restaurants. Good breakfast with French toast, bread, eggs, ham, cheese, fresh fruite juice, coffee, tea etc.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
