Hostal D 'Cordero is a house located in the center of the city, very close to Leoncio Vidal Park, in the historical center of Santa Clara. Built in 1930 with eclectic style for residence of Dr. Elio Fileno de Cárdenas, who was Senator of the Republic for the province of Las Villas from 1940 to 1948.
The property has 5 comfortable private rooms, high strut, with natural ventilation and air conditioning. The first of the rooms is decorated in Venetian style, followed by another one that has an elegant Louis XVI furniture, both with old baths with marine motifs. Also, room number 3 responds to the taste of the decade of the 50 with all its restored pieces and an extensive bathroom that also responds to the way of the time. As a special detail this piece holds a large-scale painting by local artist Juan Ramón Valdés Gómez (Yiki). The last of the rooms stands out for its Louis XV decoration, a large window with beautiful stained glass windows and a living room with wicker furniture in the Diana style, as well as an abundant collection of Cuban and foreign paintings, old and contemporary.
The rest of the house also remains decorated with several collections of paintings, porcelains, crystals, bronzes and lamps, among other elegant objects. The living room and the parquet show beautiful mosaics imported from Italy and furniture that belonged to the Cuban poet Dulce María Loynaz, National Literature Prize in 1987 and Miguel de Cervantes Prize in 1992.
It also has a large central courtyard surrounded by a corridor with graceful columns, ornamental plants and a pergola that invites to rest and inspires tranquility, as well as an old fountain that represents the logo of the house.

Hostal D'Cordero is located in street Leoncio Vidal (Gloria) # 61, between Maceo and Union, Santa Clara, Villa Clara, Cuba, CP: 50100, the center of the city and just one block from the park Leoncio Vidal, in a quiet, secure area away from city traffic.
Nearby remain essential for direct contact with Cuban culture as santaclareña and La Caridad Theater, the Museum of Decorative Arts and the Mejunje places. Similarly from our house you can easily access sites of historical significance as the Joint Sculptural Ernesto Che Guevara Monument and the armored train.
You will also find very close to our home centers that will facilitate your stay in Santa Clara as exchange offices, shops, bars, nightclubs, restaurants and tourist information bureau, among others.

Very warm welcome, helpfull with our luggage, a very nicebuilding with nice and clean rooms and a very good bathroom. just 150 meters from the center. Also the breakfast was good.

Prachtig koloniaal pand in oude centrum van Santa Clara.
Onverwacht mooi bij binnenkomst, met een prachtige (schaduwrijke) binnentuin, alwaar het heerlijke ontbijt geserveerd wordt (vers fruit, vruchtensappen, broodjes, eieren etc).
Mooie ruime kamers, in oude koloniale stijl ingericht.
Badkamer prima, wat verouderd, maar passend bij gebouw.
Alles op loopafstand.Kortom, prima B&B, van harte aan te bevelen.

We were a group of 8, but unfortunatly we only stayed one night at this beautiful colonial Casa. What a pleasant surprise: At arrival we were offered a cold damp cloth to make us cool down and relax, as well as a fruit juice in the lovely patio. This is where we also had dinner. It was not only well cooked but also presented very nicely and in a beautiful ambience.
The rooms and bathrooms were huge and comfortable. And the breakfast was the best of our entire Cuba travels: great coffee (not as strong and bitter as it often is) the fruit plate was all beautifully carved fruit, the natural juices amazing.
What deserves a special mention: the staff is very well trained and speak english - its almost in the standard of a 4* + Boutique Hotel. 100% recommandation!!Host reply

What a beautiful hostel in colonial style. Very stylish patio and room. Fantastic bathroom with the best and most spacious shower in Cuba. Had a wonderful dinner. Also very good breakfast. Great hospitality.

Beautiful place to stay in Santa Clara, very nice furnished. This Casa truly looks like a museum, so pretty. We used breakfast and dinner here, which were of good quality. Special thanks to the employees, who gave such an amazing service.

We stayed at Hostal D’ Cordera for 2 nights and enjoyed the hospitality of Orlando and his very competent team. We ate dinner there both evenings and my special request for vegetarian meals was satisfied by two delicious meals. The breakfasts with the variety of fruit, eggs and bread are an excellent start to the day.
It is located within short walking distance of the Parque Vidal square which is also a Wi-Fi spot. There is another WiFi area on the Boulevard.
We had an excellent time here and would recommend it without reservation.Host reply
