Peter (German) and Nicole (Chinese) live here for most of the year; especially during the "dark" months - Paphos is ideal for wintering. We are both retired and regularly visit our places of origin in Northern Hesse and Xi'an. At these times, our house can also be occupied by the guest alone - provided there is a certain relationship of trust. Our charming villa is located above Tala in one of the most beautiful corners of Cyprus. Here we have mountain and/or sea views from almost every point of the property. We have a large garden on several levels, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen and a porch - so plenty of space to be alone at any time. We like to share our home with nice, uncomplicated people who want to temporarily share our way of life (simple, practical, considerate). Conversely, we expect - in addition to an appropriate cost sharing - only respect and appreciation, as well as some help in the house and garden.

About the Area
Our house is on a slope (with lots of stairs) in a cul-de-sac - so it's relatively quiet. The neighboring houses are all inhabited - so you have a certain social integration. This is also given through the Leptos Club - they have brunch and other offers there at the weekend. It also offers a 24/7 Medical Care Center. It is only about 3 km to the town of Tala with a small supermarket and tavernas. Walks with beautiful views start from the house. It only takes about 20 minutes by car to get to the sea.
Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
To paraphrase the philosopher Kant: “Act in such a way that your maxim could also be considered a general law.” In addition, we only expect some cooperation with the house and garden work - i.e. little to nothing when we are present, a little more when we are away. However, this will be discussed and agreed upon in advance. Our house is a bit older and has a certain "morbid" charm here and there. In order to avoid unpleasant arguments about different lifestyles and ideas as much as possible, a short protocol must always be prepared after the initial viewing/introduction to our house and the terms of use.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
