Renting a sunny, private room in a flat in one of Prague's most vibrant neighborhoods. The room has a large bed, large desk, small sitting area for two, and shelves. The flat has a large, fully-stocked kitchen and all the amenities (washer, drier, microwave, electric hob with oven, toaster, juice maker, blender, bathtub, fridge, kettle, etc.). The flat is located in Prague 7, on the 4th floor with a lift, and filled with paintings and books.
It is a two-minute walk to Vltavska metro, and a three-minute walk to Strossmayerovo namesti with tram lines 1, 8, 12, 14, 17, 25 and 26 (the tram lines vary but season but you can access all of Prague easily). The city center is minutes away by public transport. There are three nice parks within easy walking distance, Letna (with beautiful views of the city, beer gardens and swimming, biking, skating and ice skating in winter), Stromovka (with amazing open spaces and swimming, biking, skating and pubs) and Stavinice island - often with live music and/or DJs and of course beer. The neighborhood is hip and artsy and filled with pubs, winebars, reataurants and shops.
I am a contemporary artist with a day job. Originally from the US, I have been living in Prague for over 25 years and call it home. I work from the flat these days as an editor, proofreader and painter. I love art, culture, music, history, nature and Czech beer. I smoke, but try and only do so on the balcony when guests are here. Sometimes I also dog sit an old, super nice, quiet, half deaf, half blind cocker spaniel named Sonrisa.

About the Area
Located just below Strossmeyerovo namesti and just a block above Vltavska metro my flat provides excettent access to the city center. The metro is a two-minute walk, six or so tram lives a three-minute walk. It's a 10 minute walk or two tram stops to both Letna and Stromovska parks and an 8 minute walk to Stavinice island. The area is filled with pubs, restaurants, winebars, shops. There is swimming in Letna and Stromovka parks as well as cycling, and skating and even iceskating in Letna park in the winter.

Please be polite, and tidy, clean up after yourself if you cook or use the kitchen and keep the volume down after 10 p.m. Smoking is allowed in the kitchen and on the balcony. The kitchen is fully stocked, and you are free to use condiments and staples. If you use the last of something, please replace it or otherwise let me know.

The perfect place to be for my friend Niklas and me - had a very fun time staying here! The host is a cool guy to hangout with, we liked to spend some of our time just chilling at his place. Especially considering we stayed for New years, we think the price was more than fair for what we got - highly recommend!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
