Nachdem meine Tochter in den USA studiert hatte, entschloss ich mich, Gastfamilie zu sein, weil ich es liebe, Menschen in der Nähe zu haben. Ich hatte nichts als eine tolle Zeit mit meinen Gastgebern seitdem! Ich wohne in einer 4-Zimmer-Wohnung zwischen den drei Hauptstränden von Rio, Ipanema, Arpoador und Copacabana. Die berühmte Sonntags-Hippie-Messe (bester Andenkenmarkt in Rio) ist einen Block entfernt. Wir sind ein kosmopolitisches Zuhause, ich reise viel, war in vielen Ländern und habe Freunde und Familie in den USA, Europa und Uruguay. Ich spreche Französisch, Spanisch und Englisch und liebe es, Ideen und Erfahrungen auszutauschen. Unsere Nachbarschaft hat Strände, Bars, Restaurants, Kinos, Theater und vieles mehr.
Ich bin ein Fan von Fahrrädern und habe ein extra für die Gäste. Sie können an den Stränden entlang, um den See herum oder sogar zum Zuckerhut, zum Botanischen Garten und zu anderen schönen Orten radeln. Es gibt Radwege, die uns überall hinführen, eine echte Einladung, die Stadt kennenzulernen und gleichzeitig Sport zu treiben. Aber wenn Sie die U-Bahn bevorzugen, ist es direkt um den Block.Und Taxis oder Ubers sind Tag und Nacht verfügbar und überhaupt nicht teuer. Herzlich willkommen!

Über die Gegend
Unsere Wohnung ist drei Blocks vom Ipanema Strand, zwei vom Copacabana Strand und drei vom Arpoador Strand entfernt. Obwohl die Straße stark befahren ist, blickt das Apartment auf die Innenhöfe und ist ruhig und luftig. Es gibt viele Bars, Restaurants, Kinos und Theater in der Nähe und die U-Bahn ist nur einen halben Block entfernt. Taxis und Busse fahren zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit vorbei.
Es gibt einen Parkplatz im Gebäude gegen eine zusätzliche Gebühr.

Hausregeln
Rauchen ist in der Wohnung nicht gestattet. Ich mag Tiere, aber sie dürfen nicht ins Haus. In der Küche können Sie den Kühlschrank benutzen. Vergessen Sie nicht, das Geschirr nach dem Gebrauch zu waschen. Einmal pro Woche gibt es eine Putzfrau, aber wir bitten darum, dass die Gemeinschaftsbereiche immer aufgeräumt sind.
Rauchen ist nicht gestattet.

I was fortunate enough to stay with Isabella for my 2 months in Rio. Isabella is an incredibly kind person and welcomed me as soon as I arrived. I felt right at home and was able to adjust to being in a different country thanks to her outgoing spirit and generosity. If you have the opportunity to spend time in the incredible city of Rio de Janeiro I cannot recommend staying with Isabella enough. Not only is she a great person and fantastic host, but her apartment is very nice and situated in the perfect location. Thanks Isabella for an amazing two months!

I stayed in an other apartment which was only a few streets away. The location is just perfect as you're right between Copacabana beach and Ipanema beach. I met Isabella only on my last day but she was so kind and nice. Definitely recommend staying here! :)

Isabella is amazing! She showed me the city, planned trips and knows so much about the city! Extended my stay because it was much better than expected.

Very good place to stay in Rio de Janeiro, because it´s located central near by the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema and Isabella is really expieriencend in Hosting and always has good advices where to go and what to do in this City. I enjoyed much my Holiday staying at her´s!

Fantastic stay with Isabella. Would recommend anyone who is passing through Rio to stay in her lovely home. She gives you a very strong sense of community, and is always willing to go the extra mile to make your trip more pleasant. Just like many others that had stayed at Isabella's residences, I had extended my stay for another 4 days simply because of her welcoming gestures and fantastic hospitality.

Although Isabella was not there when we stayed the house is very comfortable and is centrally located right between both beaches Ipanema and Copacabana. We had full use of the kitchen which is important for us. The room was clean and has plenty of closet space. Her husband and Deborah very helpful in what to do and where to find attractions around town. I highly recommend staying with Isabella. Thanks for everything and sorry we did not get to meet you.

I stayed at Isabella's home for five weeks. She helped me getting around in this beautiful city and was always available if I needed help. Her roomates were easy-going and interesting conversational partners.
Public transportation can be reached within minutes form Isabellas apartment. Within a less than 10-minute walk you can get to the beach, either Ipanema or Copacabana. Bars, shops, reastaurants and fitness centers are close-by and some of them are open 24/7. It is really a great place to stay at.Gastgeber-Antwort
Alice is a very nice guest, easy going person and a real traveller: enjoyed Rio at its fullest.

Je suis resté 6 nuits. La petite chambre simple est sans fenêtre mais dispose de sa douche privative. C'est aussi plus calme, le quartier l'est, de toutes façons. L'immeuble est ancien mais Isabella permet d'utiliser la cuisine et espaces communs. J'ai pu aussi utiliser le vtt rustique, bien pratique. La localisation est parfaite, avec ascenseur. Wifi impeccable. Mais surtout.... ce qui fait l'authenticité du lieu sont l'enthousiasme et le dynamisme communicatif d'Isabella (qui parle français couramment)... je ne saurais comment la remercier des moments de découvertes et partages de sa ville préférée... C'est assurément l'endroit où je reviendrais et vous conseille de ne pas rater. Si vous avez cette chance.... Préférez au moins 4 ou 5 jours.

Stayed with Isabella in her cosy flat right in the middle of Copanema just minutes to the beaches by foot. Suprisingly quiet room. Isabella is a wonderful host and supplied me with a lot of useful advice for Rio. There is also a bike available, which is a great way to get around the neighboring areas, I took it though Ipanema and Leblon to the botanical garden and back along the Lagoa.

I loved everything about this place. The location, the host, the fellow guests, the pictures on the wall, even the doorman :)
I would recommend it to anybody and everybody and I would definitely come back myself.
