I welcome visitors to Normandy from all countries in the world for short or long stays and I have no difficulty communicating with them since I speak English fluently. My house is located in a tourist region which includes the landing beaches just 20 minutes away but also many other points of interest which are worth the detour. Bayeux is 15 minutes away, St Lô 25 minutes away and Caen 35 minutes away, Le Mont St Michel 1 hour 15 minutes away and Honfleur 1 hour 30 minutes away.

About the Area

My house is located less than 900 meters from the village church on a low traffic road and the main town which includes all the shops and services is only 15 minutes by car.

House Rules

The guest room is not a place freely open to the public. It is a family or rather a person who welcomes them into their home. This is why we invite you to take advantage of all the living spaces at your disposal in a friendly manner and respecting everyone's privacy.
Arrivals :
On the first day, people are expected between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. or sometimes 10 p.m. exceptionally. Late or early arrivals, for example to drop off luggage in order to be able to visit the neighborhood with a less vulnerable vehicle, are subject to prior agreement.
Departures :
On the last day, departures are at 11 a.m. at the latest. We are not hospitality professionals, so we must have the necessary time to provide the people who then arrive with the most welcoming accommodation possible.
The rooms :
The rooms are not intended for doing laundry or eating meals.
A flat screen television with TNT is available to visitors and shared with the owners in the living room on the ground floor.
Visitors can also access WiFi for free by asking us for the access code. Illegal downloading is prohibited.
A hairdryer and iron are available. If you need to do a wash you can use the washing machine for the small fee of €3.
Valuable objects (jewelry, multimedia devices, various means of payment, etc.) must not be left in rooms or in parked vehicles, as the owners decline all responsibility in the event of the disappearance of these objects. An installation of locks is planned on several doors.
General provisions :
Smoking is prohibited in places for collective use. The entire house, including rooms, is therefore non-smoking.
Our animal friends are not accepted, mainly due to the risk of incompatibility with our cat whose behavior is quite unpredictable.
Out of respect for the entire property, visitors are asked not to climb the stairs with their outdoor shoes. They must go up barefoot or in socks and put their shoes back on when they return to the ground floor tiles. You should not go into the room until you have dried yourself completely after getting out of the shower. Guests will also be sure to take a shower BEFORE going up to their room if they have been walking on the beach to avoid getting sand everywhere.
We are sure that you will very quickly be able to adapt judiciously to the different parts and requirements of the house to maintain it in the condition in which you found it.
General ethics:
We are sensitive to the protection of our planet and wish to contribute to the protection of the environment by minimizing the footprint of the operation of my home.
Simple and light measures can go a long way. This is why we are counting on your collaboration to:
- avoid leaving lights on unnecessarily,
- do not let the water run and moderate the flow during showers (a shower consumes much less water than a bath... think about it!),
- we sort the waste and you will find different containers or bins intended for this purpose.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
