We are a culturally interested and nature-loving family of teachers with two children (16 and 19 years old). Since our daughter is now studying, we are renting out her domicile: The open-plan room with sleeping and living area, a shared kitchen and shared bathroom is located in the newly renovated sandstone house. You only share the bathroom with our son, who still goes to school and lives on the top floor. I use a separate walk-through room with a staircase as a private study (library).
We live in the house next door, but we can usually always be contacted directly via the shared garden and the adjoining barn, which my husband uses as a hobby workshop. We have three outdoor cats, but only one visits the brownstone.

About the Area
Our house with several outbuildings and a large garden is quietly located on the edge of the vineyards and yet centrally in the Freinsheim holiday region (in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region). The universities in Ludwigshafen and Mannheim can be easily reached with various train connections from the train station, which is 10 minutes away. The cities of Frankenthal, Bad Dürkheim and Neustadt an der Weinstraße can also be reached quickly by public transport. The airport in Frankfurt is only 1 hour away by car and shuttle services run daily to our region.

House Rules
We invite you to make yourself at home and trust that you will treat our home as you would treat your own: so please close the doors and windows when you leave. Of course you are welcome to use the kitchen if you leave it clean and tidy again. Also make sure that the electrical devices are all switched off afterwards. Since we have 1-3 cats, own pets are not possible. Please don't bring strangers home. If you want to invite friends, please ask first, we will surely find a solution. ;-)

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
