About the Homestay
If you are a low budget traveler and you need just a place to sleep,or somebody to show you around,or just somebody to hang out with while in Athens, then please contact me...
I don't focus on making profit from renting my guest room,so please don't expect to find everything perfect.
My primary goal is to meet interesting people from all over the world, and have travel contacts. Money is a secondary thing but unfortunately necessary to survive.....
If by any chance you are a traveling musician don't forget that we can go play music together. I play the drums and I have played music with lots of busking musicians in Athens. We can even work together at the streets of Athens.,cause I happen to know some pretty good spots for busking.
I live in SEPOLIA, an area near the center of Athens.
I don't have any flat mates.
I got an extra room available....air conditioned, with WI-FI.....and a small balcony.
I don't smoke, but it's OK if you smoke.
Don't worry about having fun......Many shops, bars, restaurants in my neighborhood.
My flat is 5-10 minutes away from the Metro Station.
I admit I'm a busy man but I will do my best to show you around or at least make your staying at my place pleasant.
I usually stay up late.
Anytime is good for hosting...weekends,weekdays..whatever.
I got everything in my apartment, don't worry about blankets or towels. You can bring your own though. How many days can you stay.???.hmm. It depends on how much fun you are.
So if you would like to see how a real walking adventure with a real Greek person, please contact me.
No extra charge.....
I like meeting people who would like to meet local people...
Especially people who are interested in Greek History and Mythology.........
I do not like hosting people who just need a cheap place to stay and they don't want any interaction with their host..............
It's boring for me to host people like that................
- Internet Access
- Air Conditioning
Bedrooms available for booking
About the Area
INTERESTING THINGS TO SEE WHERE I LIVE:
The building I live at is located at the Sepolia area, which is a part of Athens City.....
Where I live is a middle class neighborhood with real, simple people......
I think that it's ideal for people that don't like touristic areas and want to witness the real side of things
Sepolia is close to the Historical Center of Athens, though. There is a subway train station which takes to the touristic areas in about 10minutes.So...don't worry, because while at my place you have access both to real life in Athens, and also to a more touristic adventure at the Historical Center of Athens....
Tip - One cool thing about Sepolia is that in certain places likes bars etc, the prices here are better than in the Center of Athens.
That's pretty good for low budget travelers...

I'm a busy man but I will do my best to show you around or at least make your staying at my place pleasant.
I usually stay up late .
I would prefer it if you don't use the kitchen while at my place....but if you really have to,because of a low budget travel plan, please let me know.
Try not to use many electrical devices at the same time while at my place....or at least ask me before you do in order to avoid short circuits.
You need to warm up the water before getting a shower. You turn on the boiler....wait for 30 min and then you take a shower.
( Don't leave the boiler working all day long as it is expensive...)

Wireless Internet access is also available at my place...You can bring your laptop or use my computer although there are also many Internet cafe places around my neighborhood.
Smoking is allowed outdoors only.
I loved being in Georgios house! Is not a palace but it's perfect for tourist who want to meet the city and stay in a trust place! I was a bit scared to go to him house alone (because I'm a 23 years hold girl) but Georgios was very nice and kind with me, he left me super comfortable in him house! He show so many things in ONE day! It was really fun and nice meet Georgios! Definitely I recommend to every people to stay in I'm house and meet him!
Georgios was a really awesome host! we have only a brief visit but it worth it! Sepolia is a nice neighbourhood too, not far from city centre. My friend and I were delighted about the day trip to the places we didn't see before. Georgios is a good person, and very helpful about directions, he cares a lot abnout guests, even he came to pick us up. His place was cool, very artistic and you feel that it is like home. Also, he knows a lot about history, which is really good if you go sightseeing, to know the history of a place is always unvaluable! Nice company and funny also! he is a good photographer too!
Hope to come back to Athens one day! Efharistó Giorgios! :)
Spent 3 nights at Georgios' ..The apartment is at a peaceful modest region where access to metro and buses is easy. He was very helpful giving all the info and directions to get to his place... felt very comfortable in the room..His good heart made me feel at home and his guidance around the city and good company walking around made my Athens experience much delightful.. Feeling very lucky to have the chance to know Georgious and his lovely neighbours .Most of all he is a very good friend ..will always have a special place in my heart
Georgio is a very good man, great hospitality!!!!
The whole town. - Sepolia is very safe and people are very really helpful, they helped us a lot, I will come back next time when I travel to Athens, highly appreciated.
I love Sepolia and so as Athens !
********** :-)
Explaining the ambiance; the atmosphere and mood of his place was great for a musician and artist - , Georgios is an artist so it reflects in the apartment decor. I took note that he is very neat and ensures that the guest is WELL taken care of. Spending several days with him you realize he has a wonderful heart, VERY smart and knows his history and political background of Greece. He takes care of guests better than any of the other homestay places - So for RATING A PERFECT HOST 10 stars!!! No question - It's definitely for the budget traveler - which I was. He is more than a gracious host - you really understand the way of thinking in this city of the locals, when you spend time with Georgios. I appreciate everything. I lowered my facilities to a 3, only because I am a bathroom snob - and I have to have lots of good towels, etc. : )
Thank you again!! Homestay booking is just what a budget conscious traveler is. I was able to eat a FABULOUS dinner with Georgios at one of the best restaurants in the city, because I did not spend money on a ridiculous 5-star hotel that I would be in only to sleep!
Très agréable, Georgio, surelly tired from a stressfull day at work, took the time to show me the nearest metro stations and acompagnied me to the city centre.
I cannot say enough good things about Georgios as a host! This gentleman made my vacation. It was by far the most relaxed, fun and in general great vacation.
Georgios goes above and beyond when it comes to hosting. I really felt like I was only couch-surfing with my oldest friend instead of staying with a stranger in a strange place. He is a great tour guide and is more than willing to share the fun in his life with his guests.
Georgios does not have the fanciest place in the world, but I would have paid at least triple what he charges and still saved a huge sum on accomodations.
If you have never done a home-stay, I recommend G's place for your first! You will come away with an incredibly unique experience and vacation!
Georgios is a funny and hepful guy with a real passion for the music. The flat is simple but confortable located in a quiet and easy area.
Georgios has good hospitality but the place needs TLC.
