Escape to the serene and picturesque Vara, your ultimate boutique homestay in Dehradun. I am your host Dr. Meena and I am the founder of Meena Yoga. I co-host my house with my husband Dr. Vishal who is a writer, a poet and a meditation expert.
Nestled amidst the breathtaking mountains and lush greenery, our charming villa offers the perfect blend of nature and eco living.
It is just 15 minutes away from downtown Dehradun. One can also go for hiking, trekking, mountain bicycling or can walk up & down the hilly trails.
A beautiful mountain stream flows down on one side of it while its other three sides are surrounded by lush green Himalayan forests.
You can also stroll down the nearby river and illuminate our soul before the
first virgin rays of the Sun would glisten the running stream.
Flowing waters and chirping birds are the musicians at Vara.
Visits to holy cities of Rishikesh & Haridwar or to Mussoorie, the Queen of hills are also available on demand.
Enjoy a cozy stay with personalised hospitality close to the renowned University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES). Personalised Yoga & Meditation sessions are also on offer with a host of other facilities at Vara.
There are lots of mountain trails and jungle tracks for hiking or mountain biking. Visit to the temple of the local deity traversing a small trek is a good option to soothe your soul.
Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Therapy, Yogic Philosophy, Mantra Chanting classes are offered onsite to all those who want to have some spiritual takeaways from their vacation.
As your host, I love to interact with my guests (as I live on the property) and share mutual experiences with them while creating some everlasting memories too!

About the Area
We are located next to Jaspal Rana Shooting Range. University of Petroleum & Energy Studies is located 6 kms. from us towards the upcoming Mussoorie bypass. Our homestay is surrounded by lush green Mountains from all sides and there's a river flowing just 300 odd yards from our place. There are numerous mountain trails, hiking tracks all around our homestay, not to mention a pristine temple on top of the hilltop just half a kilometre up the hill. There are various options of eating out nearby although we take pride in offering delicious homely food to our guests.
The best way to get around is by walking. There is no problem with parking as we are located close to a jungle that is absolutely safe. Lots of mountain trails to walk and jungle tracks for hiking or mountain biking.

Feel free to use the kitchen but please clean up after yourself.

Dangerous goods or hazardous materials prohibited by law are not allowed inside.
Do not throw any object especially pad into the toilet bowl to prevent it from clogging.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
