The name of the Homestay is Kamal House.
"Kamal" means “Lotus” which means purity and renunciation. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood of Gangtok. This home-stay, gives you the chance to experience a Buddhist way of life and feel the warmth of Sikkim’s hospitality that has remained unchanged for centuries.
It is owned and managed by a Sikkimese family. At Kamal Homestay, you experience firsthand the rich cultural heritage of the Sikkimese people, coupled with all amenities and comforts of modern living. Sikkimese people are known for their quiet stren compassion and hospitality.
Kamal Home Stay is an extension of these qualities, where guests are welcomed and treated like personal guests of the family. You will feel like you are visiting the home of an old friend, and indeed that is what we hope to achieve, to feel that you are home away from home.

The house is located 60 mtrs below the road at a walking distance of 2-3 minutes and is at a 8 minutes walking distance of from the Bus Station & the Hospital and is at a 2-3 minutes walk from the Palzor Stadium and the house is hidden and away from the road and the noises of the town.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
