The Rambler's Retreat is a homestay, we have 2 spare bedrooms and an attic to share. Hosted by a small Himachali family you'll find a cozy home away from home. Live the village lifestyle; go on walks, there is a Buddhist monastery nearby, or go rafting or paragliding or maybe on a picnic. Drive into the wild in Kais wildlife sanctuary. Away from the hustle bustle you'll find a place to relax with alot of adventures to find nearby.

About the Area
The homestay is located in a small Himalayan village called Kais on Kullu-Naggar-Manali highway. It's 12 kms from Naggar and 10 kms from Kullu. The area is quiet and peaceful with plums, apple and pomegranate orchards. You can view the valley from your balconies and the ranges of Pir Panjal.

House Rules
-This is not a hotel setup, it's a home.
-No smoking inside the bedrooms or living area.
-No loud music or partying, Small portable speakers are ok inside the rooms till 11 pm.
-No drugs.
-No pets allowed.
-Turn off the lights and geyser when not in use.
-Only the number of guests booked will be hosted, any extra person will be charged double.
-Violation of rules enables us to cancel your stay at any time.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
