A 1200 sq.ft well ventilated, furnished, air-conditioned apartment with two spacious bedrooms, bathrooms (one attached & one common), a separate living & dining area and a modern kitchenette, in the heart of the city.
The gated property comes with a private parking space and guests have access to the elevator & safe and secure living spaces with round the clock security and a 24*7 power back-up facility.
Additional key benefits are locality (distance to super-markets, restaurants, fast-food outlets, malls, medical emergency, ATM's, transport, etc.) & easy access to major highways and good connectivity to central business districts. Ideal for expatriates, families, couples and business travelers.

The apartment for rent is on the 5th floor and we reside on the 3rd floor. The living, dining & the kitchen area of the apartment are common to both the rooms.
We are always available to our guests as need be and provide them with plenty of city & neighborhood tips. We also offer assistance and guidance they require from time to time, during the course of their stay with us.
Additionally, the breakfast & morning refreshments are complimentary with the tariff.

About the Area
The apartment is conveniently tucked away on a private road in the Gariahat area; a stone's throw away from the main crossing - yet away from the hubbub (enough to escape the traffic). It is a peaceful, convenient, residential community mostly with locals & expatriates.
A five min walk takes you to the Rabindra Sarover lakes - a must go for joggers and early risers. There are a variety of restaurants, coffee bars, the quaintest little tea-shop that you will absolutely love (Mrs Magpie's & Dolly's - a must visit), a supermarket - Spencer's & Arambagh's that will take care of all your grocery needs, interesting shops like Fabindia and Byloom selling the best of Indian ethnic & much more - all down the street or a short walk away.
Besides it's central location from most parts of the city, the neighborhood is immensely popular among window shoppers & is known for it's private eateries and bars. There are ample of quick service restaurants & takeaway/delivery options in the vicinity.
You can saunter down the interesting roads & by-lanes around, getting a feel of the local culture and the city.
The neighborhood is accessible by various means of public transport including autos, radio taxis (UBER & Ola Cabs), buses as well as the metro.
Proximity & tourist attractions:

House Rules
None really. We're all adults! Guest are welcome to access the entire apartment i.e, private bedrooms, living and dining space, equipped kitchen (a toaster, microwave, baking oven, cooking gas connection, water purifier, refrigerator) parking space, balcony & the elevator.
Depending on the weekend I'm available to my guests as need be. I'm still available over e-mails & phone(if I'm travelling) and shall leave you prepared with enough city & neighborhood tips. If you crave a traditional Bengali meal look no further than our kitchen. If you are staying for four days or more we invite you for a complimentary traditional Bengali meal with our family.
We would personally welcome you to make sure you are comfortable with the apartment and the neighborhood. If you have any questions about transportation and sightseeing, please write to us or call us prior to your arrival. For late night International flights arrival, we will help you check in and have a caretaker to help you with your luggage if required.
At times, we may accommodate early check-ins for you, so long it does not interfere with other guests' check outs. You could check with us in advance, if its possible.
# For anything else, ask and you shall receive. Don't bring it down is all. I am happy for you to host little parties and have a good time - as long as the space is left the way you found it

- The reflected rates are for short stays
- We are happy to discuss proposals for periods longer than 10 days on a case by case basis depending on the length of the period and number of occupants
-Please note that only a light breakfast is complimentary in the room rate.
Other Things to Note
Verification: Valid photo ID (Passport & visa, Aadhar card, ID card, Driver's Licence, Ration Card of both people staying to be scanned through after booking and before arrival
General:
- Your safety is our concern. We recommend you not to invite, tour guides, escorts and strangers you meet during your visit, inside the apartment
- Help us to conserve energy by switching off all electrical appliances (such as AC, TV, Geyser & other electrical equipment etc.) when not in use
- Guests are requested to stub the cigarettes in the provided ashcans/trays
- You get the key for the main entry door of the apartment. The same should be locked each time while accessing it
- Clear your trash/food boxes from home deliveries from the common areas (lounge, dining area and balcony)
- Allow housekeeping staff to clean your room. I follow a consultative approach as far as possible. However I do encourage daily cleaning of the rooms, hence request your support. We shall arrange for your rooms and bathrooms to be cleaned and moped on a daily basis. Fresh linens & towels shall be provided every alternate day.
- Outside guest ( other than the ones booked to stay) are welcome to meet the guest in common area for a reason. Please keep the host informed of the same. Outside guest are strictly not allowed inside the guest rooms

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
