The Host
Bhakthavatsalu, a retired government officer, loves sharing vivid memories and stories of his childhood in the serene county side in Kodaikkal Pudur. He had always dreamed of settling down here when he retires. His dream has now come true with his family's support. Bhaktha, as he is known among his acquaintances, along with his wife Premakumari aka Prema, built VillageVilla, a modern house with all urban facilities in a rural setting.
The couple had a marvelous idea, to open up this country side dwelling to all of us. Why not share the joy! A village provides beauty, peace and quiet - Three things that urban folks desperately need but can't find. This thought gave birth to VillageVilla, a vacation home, for those who need a break from their fast paced lifestyle.

Fresh water swimming pool, filled for every reservation, and the water is used for plants after guests leave. No chemicals. Full power backup, generator in auto mode.

About the Area
It is a 2 hour drive from Chennai and about 3.5 hours drive from Bengaluru. A perfect weekend getaway from our busy city lives. Country side house, serene, with all modern amenities for maximum comfort, with private swimming pool.

House Rules
Be safe in the swimming pool, watch small kids and those who do not know swimming. We can customize the pool water depth. It starts at 4.5 and gradients to 6.5 feet deep. We can fill less water if requested, say 4 feet only.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
