This beautiful red bricked house is in a fantastic location close to the city centre, and adjacent to happening Rathmines. It is on several bus routes into the city centre (20 minutes, including the 16 direct to and from Dublin airport, making it a much sought after location. It is in a safe and leafy suburb of South Dublin City, well known for its beautiful Georgian and Edwardian architecture.
I enjoy meeting different nationalities and cultures, and because of my love of music know all the fun hot spots in Dublin to recommend to new arrivals. Music is mine and David's passion, which is why we have given the house a musical theme with instruments and various musical memorabilia as the main decorative theme.

The house is located in a lovely neighbourhood, you can go by foot to the city centre in half an hour, and the buses connexions are also very good with close stops and different routes.
The house is quite good, warm, with equipped kitchen and a new bathroom. Our bedroom was good, and we had a nice surprise when we arrived because we found two beds instead of a doubled one. We had two cupboards and some mirrors. However, the boiler was inside of one of the cupboards, so it was quite noisy when some taps were used. However, during the last two weeks that we stayed there, this boiler didn’t work (there was an electric one, so we could use the shower without problems). But the boiler was connected to the shower of the bathroom ensuite bedroom, so as they didn’t have warm water, logically, all of us (8-9 people) had to use the same shower... Besides, we sometimes didn’t have hot water in the kitchen and we had to share only one fridge for a month with 7 people. Finally, the oven doesn’t work properly, you only can prepare fast food.
On the other hand, if you are looking for a family, this is not your place in Dublin, since it is not a family… I can say that it could be like a students’ house with anice atmosphere. We shared the house with 6 Erasmus students of different nationalities who respected the house and were really polite and kind. Sometimes, we also shared the house with Jesse... Well, If we focus on the last weekend, we could say that when we got up we saw a unknown person sleeping on the sofa of the kitchen… we let him know that, but we didn't receive a response.
That's why the rules that appeared in this webpage don’t seem to exist for him: parties, smoking, tidying up... having parties in the kitchen at 5 a.m, not only weekends, but also during the week...
Finally, David was always very kind with us always trying to improve the house.

Jesse and David are very kind and welcoming though respecting guest's privacy. The house is great and in a very safe neighbourhood directly connected to the airport and just 30 min to the city centre by walk. An excellent experience that we strongly recommend!
