We live in a 3 bedroom house plus attic conversion with my husband and 6 children on the northside of Dublin. It is close to bus stops that take you to the city centre. It is close to Clare hall shopping centre and Donaghmede shopping centre. There is a park close by. We have a kitchen and a sitting room. We have 2 rooms available . One with an en suite bathroom and 1 bedroom where you would share the family bathroom.

About the Area
Our house is located in a quiet housing estate. It is approx. 5 -7 mins to the local shops, bank, coffee shop and hotel. It is also about 7 mins to the bus stop. There are 2 local shopping centres nearby - Clarehall and Donagmeade approx. 15 mins.

One shower a day. Showers should be quick.
Times to be agreed on arrival if you are using the shared family bathroom.
Remove hairs from plug hole.
Keep the bedroom tidy.

Guest Times:
Breakfast as per agreement when you arrive. Complimentary light breakfast included only.
Dinner time: 8.00 -9.00 pm or as per agreement when you arrive, can be slightly earlier if it suits us.
Cooking meals is not included in homestay board. Guests may use the microwave to heat food when required. Space in the fridge / press will be provided in case guest wishes to keep food.
No food to be kept in the bedrooms
No eating popcorn/ crisps in bedroom. Only a small snack can be consumed in the bedroom.
GENERAL RULES:
No guests brought home
Guests are expected to be gone to college/ work during the week days during normal working hours (9 am - 5 pm)
Ensure all windows are closed before leaving the room
Hot water and heating are set on timers.
Do not place any items on the radiators
Empty bins when full.
Shoes to be removed before walking upstairs.
When fresh bedding is required, just ask.
As there are children in the house, please respect the noise.
Smoking / illegal substances/ alcohol are forbidden to be used in the house.
If not going to college/ work, please inform the family.
Curfew to be arranged depending on guests.
All chargers need to be unplugged at night time and also when leaving the room.
Nobody is allowed take food/ open presses.
Be aware that there are young children in the house.

My stay at Louise's small home was short but sweet. The family was really welcoming, and the room was tidy and super comfy. Having my own bathroom right there was a big plus. Thanks to Louise and her family for making my stay so cozy!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
