We have a beautiful four bedroom stone house set at the foot of the ox mountains. We have one en suite double room available and two double rooms with a large bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. We have an open turf fire for the cold winter evenings and a sunny conservatory for the warmer ones. We have a large kitchen - dining room to enjoy a hearty breakfast.
Our family have moved away but return on a regular basis with our two grandsons. My husband Michael, myself and our youngest son Gary live here. We have a small dog and some hens and we hope to have a small pony soon.

About the Area
Bridge Cottage is located between Attymass and Foxford. The local bus stop and train station are based in Foxford town. Foxford is 10 minutes from us and is well known as being the birth place of Admiral William Browne, the founder of the Argentinian Navy. Foxford has a newly established centre dedicated to him.
The Foxford Woollen Mills are also a popular tourist attraction.
We are situated at the foot of The Ox Mountains. We are within walking distance from the renowned Father Peyton Centre, which was built in memory of the world famous Rosary Priest as Attymass was his birthplace. The world famous River Moy, noted for its salmon fishing is also within walking distance.
We are a 12minute car journey from our nearest large town of Ballina which has some fantastic bars and restaurants and great tourist attractions.
We have the beautiful sea side resort of Enniscrone which is a 20 minute drive.
Knock Airport is just 25 minutes from us.
Castlebar is just a 25 minute drive also.

Smoking is not permitted inside the house. But can be catered for outside.
No pets allowed in the house but there is an out building in which they can be housed.
Keep noise to a minimum after midnight please.

Beautiful house located at the foot of a hill. It was a pity we couldn't stay more time. Big rooms and well decorated. Ideal environment to rest and breathe. Geraldine was very kind and we really felt at home.

We stay for 2 nights with Geraldine and her family. And it was quite good. Geraldine and her family are really lovely people and we feel like home.
And the position of their home is wunderful and we fall in love with their pets :)
If we visit Foxford again we would stay again with Geraldine :)

La famille nous a parfaitement reçus. Géraldine a su parfaitement nous aiguiller sur les parcours à effectuer dans ce coin du Mayo enchanteur.
Attention, la localisation GPS, via homstay est débile. Si Google map indique : Dans 500 mètres, tournez à gauche, il y a une forte probabilité que vous soyez à Rooskey, oubliez Roosky. M'enfin, ce fut un superbe séjour.

Formidable séjour dans une villa de toute beauté avec vue sur les montagnes. Grande chambre, salle de bains privative grand confort, très propre et très bien équipée . Hôtes très sympathiques qui nous ont parfaitement accueillis. Géraldine est une très bonne cuisinière!

One can say without any exaggeration, that Geraldine is a lovely person and a wonderful host. It is a very beautiful house, tastefully decorated and very convenient. The house is at the countryside but perfectly located if you want to discover the nicest places in Mayo. When you start sitting in front of a cosy turf fire, it needs a strong will to get up again in the later evening and go to bed. Everything is very clean and tidy. Breakfast and tea is also nice, but the best is to sit together with Geraldine and her family and have a chat. She knows lots of good advice about where to go and what to see. Overall feedback: absolutely recommendable
How do I book?

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
