THE BEAUTIFUL ISLE OF MAN - WE ARE SET IN TEN ACRES, WITH ASSORTED ANIMALS INCLUDING RESCUE ONES - HORSES, DOGS, CATS, PLETHORA OF CHICKENS/DUCKS. PURPLE HAZE - WELL PRESENTED STANDARD DOUBLE (4ft 6ins) WITH NEW "TEMPUR" MATTRESS OR GREY SHIMMER - DOUBLE (4ft) BEDDED ROOM. USE OF "FAMILY BATHROOM"(USED BY GUESTS ONLY) - WE NORMALLY LET ONE ROOM AT A TIME, BUT ON ODD OVERLAP WE CAN MAKE ANOTHER SHOWER ETC AVAILABLE, THERE ARE 4 W.C'S. BUFFET BREAKFAST WITH FRESH LAID FREE RANGE EGGS. FREE WI FI INCLUDED. THE CARAVAN IS SELF CATERING, BUT WE TRY TO SUPPLY A STARTER PACK OF BASICS. VILLAGE IS A 2 MINUTE DRIVE WITH FUEL, LOCAL SHOP, POST OFFICE, CASH MACHINE + FRIENDLY LOCAL PUB WITH FOOD.
AMPLE OFF ROAD PARKING. SECURITY LIGHTING / CCTV. DRYING ROOM FOR STORAGE OF OUTDOOR/MOTORCYCLE GEAR. LAUNDRY LOAD (NOMINAL CHARGE), DITTO FOR SANDWICHES, SUPPER WITH FAMILY. NO SMOKING ON PREMISES. ANY QUESTIONS - JUST ASK!

About the Area
The Google map is incorrect! I could not proceed without ticking the box. We have reported and await update. We are on the A24, (bear in mind an island 'A' road is more of a country road when judged against UK counterparts!), the road runs from Douglas to Foxdale village and we are just 100 meters for the lake area marked as 'Eairy Dam'. Our road actually runs parallel to the famous Isle of Man TT course from Braddan Bridge , through to Ballacraine. Good vantage points can be reached , even when roads are closed for races or during Festival of Motorcycling. Set in ten acres in beautiful countryside, yet only 10 minutes into Douglas, TT Grandstand, Sea Terminal, 15 mins airport, Peel 15 mins, South 20 mins. North 45 mins Bus stops 100 mtr. Eairy Dam with licenced fishing 100 meters. MSPCA cafe 50 yards. Village - Fuel, shop, pub, post office just a 2 min drive.

House Rules
We are set in ten acres of beautiful Manx countryside, with horses, cats, dogs, chickens, ducks. We ask for care when around our animals & no smoking in or on property, with hay storage etc. Only dogs reside in house...crazy but friendly ( a bit like the owners).
We do not allow you to bring visitors/friends/pets back except by prior arrangement. Communication is key and just ask for anything if we can, we will!
PAYMENT: The booking fee to homestay remains as the company percentage. I request 50% on booking and the balance, by bank transfer, within 14 days, unless by other arrangement. If cancellation is more than 14 days prior to start date refund will be returned, minus £100 or 20% which ever is the greater. Cancellation within 14 days of start date the full amount is non refundable. Due to time wasters and prior problems during the MGP period we normally only take bookings of a week minimum (7 nights), but if you want you can choose to pay for a week and divide the cost over your stay. Over the TT period all charges are based on the standard nightly room rate. With regard to specifically the TT from 2023 the changes in timetable of TT race events from then means the bookings over that race timetable will only be taken for the minimum of entire race portion of dates i.e in 2023 for example this is from the Friday 2nd June ready for Sat 3rd - Monster Energy Supersport Race through until Sun 11th June 2023 to take in the Saturday 10th June 2023 Milwaukee Senior TT. This is to allow fans to take in the entire ten nights to take in the complete race portion. TT bookings are for a minimum of the 9 nights if any night is during the race period (does not apply to practice week). Again, as previously you may want to book in full, but only need say 7 or 8 nights, so you would need to see if you are happy with pro rata costing. I can break down bookings to two areas to cover practice
and race elements. Please ensure before requesting dates that you have in place your air or sea travel with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company. Sadly to many folk have tried to book without having travel, time off work, or by splitting the event then cancelling and so excluding genuine fans of the TT the ability to book the event. This is often a one off fabulous "bucket list" experience and rightly so. We endeavour to make it a complete and special stay here. It is over this world renowned event that we feel the need to be prescriptive.
Because of the timetable of say sailings including overnight travel, put in play to faciliate nearly 40,000 travellers we do not have set check in/check out, we have met folk off the boat at 3am!
We otherwise will try to be flexible where ever we can to make a booking work.
NOTE: When we click that a booking is available if you do not acknowledge this by clicking to book, as per your request, within 36 hours we will assume request is no longer valid. It is difficult and unfair to other prospective bookings to leave dates in limbo.
Please note we may have a provisional private booking enquiry and on occasion may not get back within the 36 hours, I do try and reply to that effect. If your request vanishes it may be worth retrying a day or two later. Once a private or booking on here is confirmed and deposit or entire cost paid I then amend calendar to show availability, or not.

What a wonderful stay - we booked the Classic TT rather late - Sue & Barry let their caravan to us at rather late notice and for that we were very grateful - Sue describes her caravan as 'vintage' Well vintage it may be and may not suit everyone but we had the most wonderful stay!! Caravan is compact, clean and has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay in the most beautiful setting - set within a riding stables so expect horses, chickens, chicks, cats & dogs - Sue describes her home as 'crazy' well crazy was just perfect - nothing too much trouble for Sue & Barry they made our stay so memorable - there was a welcome pack with fresh laid eggs (please thank the chickens for those) along with a fridge full of goodies - Sue & Barry provide a personal taxi service so never worried about transport at night - Not felt so welcome & relaxed for a long time - thank you both - very much hope to see you again

Dee and husband Glyn were the perfect guests, not just the logistics of being respectful of property and possessions and leaving our little caravan in excellent order, but they were like minded people who appreciated, as we do, the joy of the countryside and the lives of a menagerie of assorted rescue animals. They took in a chick in distress, literally in to caravan snuggled up with them, now being hand raised in house before heading back to hen land! If they lived nearer I am convinced a friendship would have evolved. We are hoping they will come again!

Had a great stay. Sue and Barry were excellent hosts, and very sociable. They like to spend time getting to know their guests a bit and are very helpful when it comes to directions and what to do and where to go to get the best from your stay
My room and all of the accommodation was nicely decorated and very clean. Accommodation is in a rural setting set comprising 10 acres, and Foxdale is only about a mile away with its local shop, petrol station and pub.Sue and Barry were widely available and were kind enough to run me up their excellent local village pub on several occasions in the evening. By arrangement they will also take you you further afield for a reasonable price (Cheaper than local Taxis.)
Breakfast is the continental style with cereals, toast, jam, marmalade fruit and even their home produced eggs available.
I stayed part of TT practice week and part of TT race week.The hosts are biker friendly and have plenty of parking and storage space available for your gear. The nearest viewing point on the TT course is no more than 2 miles away at Crosby.All in all i enjoyed a great week with some great weather and great hosts who made me feel welcome.

Always a delight when we make new found friends who stay with us. Our menagerie of rescue animals, including the hens who repay with fresh eggs are the winners in all our efforts, our guests often "buy" bales of hay as a thank you for a lift! We love having folk stay, I don't get out as much as I would like, due to illness, so having folk around to help them enjoy the island seems to be a win:win all round. Trevor was the perfect guest, always a pleasure when we are appreciated.
How do I book?

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
