This little room, located in the historical center of Genzano, has a wonderful view of the Palazzo Sforza-Cesarini just outside, and is within walking distance to many charming restaurants & places to hike/bike. We use the room as a library and it is filled with 100s of books. There is a desk & nice sunlight so it's an ideal space for writing or working from home. You can choose to eat breakfast/lunch/dinner with us for an small additional fee... Or I can prepare a picnic for you to take away.
There is now a Tourist Tax in our town of 1 euro per night per person that must be paid in cash upon arrival. Thank you!

About the Area
Genzano is a hidden gem, the legends about the Lake and the Temple and the sunken ships are fascinating to discover. There are many walking trails and nice restaurants and the air is always fresh and breezy. 27 km south of Rome, about 1.5 hours on public transport.

Da Rachel e Matteo ci si sente parte della famiglia. Possono raccontarti tutto ciò che si può sapere sulla regione e sopratutto la storia e le leggende sul Lago di Nemi. Puoi mangiare insieme a loro e gustare la buonissima e autentica cucina di Rachel, adatta agli ingredienti regionali di stagione, oppure andare ad uno dei tanti ristoranti vicini – posso consigliare il Rifugio al Vecchio Fienile. Se ti va di restare un po' a casa e leggere, non ti mancherà mai un nuovo libro. Tutto sommato, buona gente in un bello quartiere di un bello paese. Ci tornerò!!

We loved staying with Rachel! She couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming and she gave us lots of really good recommendations and told us a lot about the area we were staying in. Our favourite thing about the home stay was definitely the view from the bathroom window, you could see all the houses below and it was beautiful. There was also a few really good places to eat nearby.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
