Hi! I'm Miki
I love to travel and explore new areas, sometimes just taking off in the car or boat on a sunny day with the windows down can tame my travelling heart. I am a Wine Consultant, Sommellier and a foodie: a big part of my travel decisions are guided usually by my desire to discover new wines and cuisines to pair with wines I love. I love to cook, and my favourite Saturday mornings are spent at the market buying ingredients for my special plates.

I'm graduated in IUAV (the Architecture University of Venice) in the Communication Design Degree. I am responsible, honest and a huge integrity ...
I love my cats, my father food and meeting people from all over the world by traveling abroad or welcoming visitors to Venice!

About the Area

Our apartment is in a building of XVI° century, in the heart of the old Jewish Ghetto. It is near the railway station (7 minutes walking) in a extremely safe area with restaurants, bars, supermarkets...
The boat stop to/from airport, the Lido Beach, the Islands or the Biennale of Arts is at 3 minutes walk.

Meals

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules

The following rules are the result of our large experience. If you decide to book with us it means that you agree with all the rules.

- Children and pets aren't allowed.
- Smoking is not allowed.
- Guests are kindly requested to communicate their arrival time the day before.
- Kitchen is not allowed to guests but we can offer a space in the fridge
- Check-in time is after 1pm till 11pm.
Check-in after 11pm will be charged 50 Euros to pay at the moment of the arrival.
If you need just to leave your baggage before the check-in time just ask and we can make an agreement ( we need time to set up the room after other guests leaving and clean properly for your stay to be confortable)
- Check-out is strictly within 10am (you can leave your baggage till your flight/train departure)
Check out before 7am are charged 35 Euros to pay at the moment of leaving or the night before.
- It is forbidden to return home totally drunk!
- Please avoid to make noise, like hairdryer, after 11pm
- As many others places in Italy, Municipality of Venice requests a City Tax of 5 Euros per night per person. This money is NOT included in the price you pay for your stay! We will ask you to pay it before your arrival or in cash at the moment of the check-in.
- At the moment of your arrival you will be requested to give us your passport/ID cards in order to submit them to the "Portale Alloggiati della Polizia di Stato" according to the current antiterrorism laws of our country.
- All furniture and objects in the room are at your disposal, we ask you respect and responsibility in using them. If something will found broken or would need professional cleaning after your stay we will ask to the Homestay assistance in order to charge you for the possible damages.
- We don't serve breakfast, why? there are famous coffee/pastry shops near the apartment! You MUST try the yummy venetians cakes...
- payment must be performed 2 weeks before or as soon as you book for early arrivals. In case there won't be the payment the reservation will be not considered as active.
We don't perform daily cleaning of the room nor change of sheets and towels, there is a cleaning fee of 30€ to be paid when you leave the room.

Last but not least we are always at your disposal for advices or for any problem you could encounter, we are open to your requests and we shall do our best to make you enjoy our city, our main priority is your stay pleasant and worth to be remembered.

    Hello,

    thank you so much for the stay, everything was great. Communication with Miki was smooth however we only met his wife Bernie in person. She is the most lovely host and a wonderful person, also let us stay for the late check out. No problems at all, felt like at home. Best recommendations!

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
