We are 39 year married couple. Our son and daughter are independent. We have a nice guest room which we can offer you. I am a good English speaker. My husband and I are available to show you authentic Japan. Our house is located next to Tokyo and 25 minutes to central Tokyo by train. The train comes every 5~10minutes. We are experienced homestay family. We are very happy to help you to have a stay not as a tourist as a local one. We prefer our age people to share our time but also would like to share with our kids age guests.

Our house is located ten min. walk to the Musashi Urawa station. 2min walk to the convenient store and several groceries stores which open 24. 25min to Tokyo by train. From the nearest station the bus goes to the Haneda airport.

I loved staying with Akiko and her husband Michio so much I decided to stay there again! Akiko is kind, caring, and fun! She loves hearing and telling funny stories. Her large home (by Japanese standards) is absolutely beautiful, modern, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully decorated. Her furniture is comfortable, including the beds. It was a perfect and very comfortable stay! There are no pets in the home and no smoking inside the home which was amazing for my many allergies. You can keep food in their refrigerator and use their kitchen and washing machine too. Aikido's English is excellent and she was very willing to help me translate food labels to avoid my allergies. Her husband, Michio, is also a kindhearted person who enjoys shopping and museums. Both Akiko and her husband helped me to accomplish my shopping and site seeing in Tokyo. Her home is an easy walk to the nearest train station which can whisk you to any part of Tokyo. The neighbourhood surrounding her home has a cute little park where you can enjoy seasonal cherry blossom blooms (2 minutes way), a 7-11 convenience store (1 minute away), and many shops at the station including Starbucks and full grocery store (5 minutes away). It is an easy walk with luggage as the terrain is flat and the footpaths are wide. Please stay here and enjoy an authentic Japanese home with friendly, helpful, warm hosts who really do care about making your experience in Japan the exact way you wish it to be. They were supportive without being intrusive. They were absolutely perfect hosts. I arrived as a stranger and we parted as family. I hope to be back soon and will certainly stay with Akiko and Michio.

I loved staying with Akiko! It was really like staying with family. Akiko was so helpful and also really fun to be around. It was really nice meeting her family. The area around their house was very nice as well! It is close to Tokyo, but isn't crowded and has a wonderful park nearby with a lake. I really suggest going here!!

Akiko was an amazing host! Her and her husband were very nice to us and treated us well. The house is beautiful and the room where we stayed was spacious. The breakfast was delicious and everyday we got to try new things. This is definitely a home I recommend!

Akiko et sa famille sont des gens formidables, gentils et ouverts d’esprit. Ils sont toujours prêts à vous faire découvrir la culture japonaise et à passer de bons moments avec vous. How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
