About us: We are kind and gentle people. I work with an insurance company for 15 years, I also have English classes for kids, I teach Japanese to non native students.
My husband works at painting industry, and our 9year old daughter has started school, our 6 year old son goes to pre-school. Our mother lives downstairs.

We are walking distance to bus stop to Kitasenjyu, and the station to Ogiohhashi, 5 stops to Nippori station.
The condo is in the heart of Tokyo and you really feel that you are staying in the biggest city of Japan, Tokyo!
Nippori has an easy access to anywhere in Tokyo - Direct Access to Tokyo Station (20 mins. by train). Shinjuku, Shibuya. Also from the Kitasenjyu station, direct access to Asakusa, and Tokyo Sky Tree.

This stay has been the best decision I could make for Japan. Sakura family has become like a real family to me, learning more about culture and language made me really happy. I was really well welcome and had so much fun being with you all along, I even got two new siblings, the cutest !
I will definitely come back, thank you for all you've done from the very beginning, take good care, going back to live alone is going to be hard after having such a family around.Love, Ren.

I had a magnificent time with the Sakura family. Often I ate my dinner together with the whole family - parents, the two wonderful kids and the lovely grandmother. If only my Japanese would have been better... But the mother is English teacher (mostly online classes from home) and is of cause very good in speaking English.
I often came up to join the family in their living room und we played Wii-U and a card game. There has been other guests doing the same or people that never showed up, so it is up to you. But I enjoyed the time with the family a lot.
As they are in the middle of an area for living, the next station is some way to go. That was no problem for me, but if you need a fast connection to the city-center, this might be a drawback.

Although I don't speak Japanese, the family was nice and very patient and tried to help me a lot. The room was beautiful and cozy. The breakfasts were delicious. I definitely recommend it.

Mayumi was an excellent host! I was quite sad to be leaving after such a warm welcome into her family. I would highly reccomend people to stay, if they would like to know how it is to live with a Japanese family.

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to live with such a kind and sweet family. Living with the Sakura family was always lively, the kids are so adorable and sweet i had so much fun playing video games, dancing, running around and just having fun with them. I was able to wear a beautiful Kimono, thanks to Mayumi :) The room was really comfortable! I did have a packed schedule so i couldn't hang out with everyone as much as i wanted to but i can't wait to see them again and make more memories.

I am grateful for having been able to live with such a kind, welcoming, helpful and light-hearted modern Japanese family.
The time I've spent at the Sakura home was lovely. Their living room was big and lively. We've sat at the table together, watched TV, played games with their two lovely kids. They even invited me to a firework festival and borrowed me a yukata to wear!
The mother speaks English very well, but we spoke mostly in Japanese, since I've told them I'm learning the language. I hope I was not too awkward with my beginner Japanese (>///<)
I stayed for almost 3 weeks and I visited a lot of places, but now I wish I'd stayed longer. It's been such a wondrous experience.Host reply

I really had a great time with Sakura family. I felt included and made a lot of memories with all of them. They are friendly and welcoming and the 2 kids are too cute!! I am very thankful for all of the very good times and very good meals we shared together. I 100% recommend Sakura family as a host!

I had a great time staying with the Sakurai family. The children were adorable and made the stay memorable. Unfortunately my time with them was short and I had already made a lot of plans, so I did not have the opportunity to hang out with them as much as I would have hoped.

Kai's time with us was short but sweet. He is polite, a personable, clean and considerate guest. We talked together a lot in Japanese. Also, he taught us English! Our kids love him. Good guest!!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
