Casual, country cottage style home with a hint of hip and keen to the sustainable, tucked away in a quiet and secure leafy property, situated just behind Karen Blixen Museum and Marula Manor, with convenient access to Nairobi National Park, Giraffe Centre, Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the many fun shopping and dining spots available in Karen. One comfortable double room en-suite. A good space for 2 people; there are 2 separate single beds that can be put together to make a double size bed for couples. The room is in the heart of the family environment; part of the Family are 2 boys age 5 and 9 and 3 dogs which are very friendly

House Rules
You are stepping into a family home. Guests should be comfortable with children and dogs. They're all friendly!! We are very happy and used to have guests, it's a chilled environment and we would like you to feel at ease.
Anyone staying is welcome to use all the common areas. Enjoy the verandah with a cup of tea or coffee and watch the sunbirds in the garden.
I work from home, my studio is just behind the kitchen, so I'm mainly at home.
If you'd like to join us for dinner (7pm), it will be a flat fee of 1000ksh per person. We love to cook, pastas, wholesome vegetarian food and beef stews!
We have a house help who comes from 9 to 5 Mon-Fri and keeps the house clean and washes clothes, so no need to wash dishes in this house :)
If you would like your laundry washed during your stay, a donation of 500ksh per load would help me with the cost of detergent, water, electricity for the washer and a tip for my house help for those staying less than a week.
We have a night guard who keeps us safe and an emergency response facility

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
