A quiet, comfortable and pleasant place to spend a few days. Located 25 minutes from the city's main square by car, in the north, which places us out of the reach of the blockades to tourist sites such as El Tule (30 min) and Mitla (45min) if you want to visit these places and you Worry about blockages, with us you will not have these problems.
The house is located in a neighborhood in the north zone. The best way to get there is by car, or by taxi. The best way to get around is by car, or by local taxi. There are buses that take you to the city center for $8.00 To take them, their station is 4 blocks away (8-10 minutes on foot)
The house has a nice terrace where you can taste your food, and if you wish, we can prepare a delicious Oaxacan dish (extra cost) with excellent seasoning, ask for it a day before.
You want to know the tourist areas of the city and surroundings, we can gladly help you put together an itinerary for your days, and if you wish, we have a vehicle to take you and be your private tour guide (extra cost) on our free days (Saturday and Sunday) and during the week (Tuesday and Thursday) in the mornings only. You will be able to know the best places, even those where commercial tours will not take you.
The room is spacious with a double bed and a single bed for a family of 3 people.

We are a family of 3 members, mother, son and daughter. We have 2 dogs, a small and very calm adult and a medium-sized puppy (8 months) that is extremely active and plays hard.

Lydhier and his family were so incredibly attentive to us, and knowledgeable throughout the whole trip. They guided us through every step of the journey with care and expertise. Through their guidance, we were introduced to a side of Mexico that I didn't know existed. It's beyond words. Moreover, their insights offered a fresh perspective on humanity as a whole. Their warmth and kindness truly made this trip an unforgettable experience.

INCREDIBLE!!! AAAA++++ This is one of the best travel experiences I have ever had and I have been travelling for years! I have never felt so welcomed and a part of the family! I experienced so much, learnt so much and although my Spanish is minimal we laughed and shared memories together. The family went above and beyond to help me, teach me about their heritage and specifically the cooking as things the reason for my travel to Oaxaca. I learnt traditional Oaxacan cooking, they took me to visit the villages and artisan families. We just spent time together and I feel so at home and comfortable! I even stayed extra night because I loved it so much! I highly recommend staying they are the most beautiful people! I will never forget this experience! They really touched my heart and soul! I miss them dearly already and they are family to me! AAAA+++++++ thank you so very much from my heart!

My partner and I loved our week with Lydhier’s family! We wanted a more authentic Oaxacan experience and that’s exactly what we got. Every meal was a delight, the family’s kindness and humour made for a warm environment. Lydhier was so helpful in driving us to town/ explaining the bus system/ and how to get to day trips outside of the city. Gracias Lydhier :)

The time with Lydhier, Nelly and Maria was really wonderful.
They are such a friendly, open and personable family who welcome their guests with open arms. So also me as a solo traveler. Maria makes great food, I got super tips for Oaxaca and also did things with them. I enjoyed spending time with them and was able to improve my Spanish.
Anyone who not only wants to experience authentic Mexico, but also wants to meet great people, should come here.
By the way, the room was also wonderful and comfortable!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
