we share our home with amazing animals surrounded by nature. At time of writing we have 4 dogs, 6 cats, 13 horses, 104 sheep, and a whole bunch of other farm animals and wild animals all around us.

Newly built farmstead located on our family's 22,000 hectare farm with developing agricultural activities, horses, sheep, chickens, and cattle. We also share our home with 4 dogs and 6 cats, so this place is ideal for those who need to get away from too many people for a while and spend some time with animals in nature.

About the Area
Our house is located on a remote farm along the border between the Hardap and Karas regions, in one of the least populated areas in the world.
The closest village with a small shop, hotel with a restaurant, and a petrol station, is approximately 60km by road, and the closest major town is around a 250km drive away.
Our community is entirely made up of small scale farmers and family run tourism businesses, all of whom are comfortable with speaking Afrikaans, most English, and about half are also fluent in German.

House Rules
Our main rules are to be clean and tidy and to respect all of the people and animals that you meet on the farm, as well as our environment in general.
We have our working week which means that we usually get up before 5am to get our morning routines in before work begins at 7am from Monday - Saturday.
This means that we would appreciate most evenings being relatively quiet after 9pm, although we don't always stick to that ourselves. Sometimes we get carried away having a social evening, watching a film, or something.
Smoking Rules
Your host is a non-smoker.
Smoking is allowed outdoors only.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
