I live in this small but a beautiful house with my husband and a daughter. It is only a half an hour drive from Kathmandu airport. As I have been a private tour guide for more than 15 years I have found many tourists seriously interested in local culture, festival and lifestyle of the local people of the Kathmandu Valley. I therefore turned some of the rooms as guest rooms to accommodate my enthusiastic guests and let them experience the local culture and live life style of majority of the people of Kathmandu city. I am also a member of 'Tourist Guide Association of Nepal'. For reference you can also find me on www.tourguides.viator.com or www.tourhq.com which are the international travel sites for both the tourists and guides. My house is a 3 floor house with 7 rooms and the distance from my house to Swoyambhunath (monkey temple) or Kathmandu Durbar Square is about 3 km.
Additional Info
If you are a smoker you can smoke in the terrace or balcony of the house. We all speak English, Nepali and Newari and Hindi language.

About the Area
Our house is located only 3 km away from the city centre and 10 km from the Kathmandu airport. The bus stop and taxi stand are only a 5 minute walk from the house where you can find a taxi round the clock. There are 4 hospitals within 700 meters radius and a small departmental store and groceries are even closer. Our house is 200 meters outside the ring road so there is a tranquil atmosphere. The tourist interest places like Swoyambhu and Kathmandu Durbar Square are within 3 to 4 kilometers.

Meals

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
