We live in a Private Road, in Ellerslie. 3 train stops to the centre of Auckland City and Ferries. There is my husband and I, and 3 daughters who are 16, 13 and 6.
We have 1 cat Petal.
We enjoy music, singing, outdoors, playing games, going to the beach and camping.
Our house is a comfortable double story townhouse which is about 20 years old.
We have an open plan kitchen that leads into a dining area and lounging area.
Off the lounge is a conservatory which leads into the garden.
We have a large vegetable garden and a garden that runs along the side of the house which is becoming a Balanese style garden.
We have 2 bathrooms , one upstairs and one downstairs with a bath in one.
Additional Info
The fee for the rooms includes a light breakfast. If you are wanting to have all your meals with us, thats great, we can negotiate a fee for this.

About the Area
Our house is close to the city centre of Auckland with the train station and bus stops 10 mins walk away. We are 19.4 Kms from the airport. Which is about 24 mins drive.
The beach of Mission Bay is only a bus ride away taking 40min. To drive will take 16mins. Also a bus ride away is Sylvia Park a large shopping centre which takes 20mins. We are 10 mins drive from the beautiful Cornwall Park, which has lovely old tree specimens, a colonial style cafe and also the Stardome Observatory and Planetarium.
Ellerslie is a small town but boasts numeral great cafes, friendly pubs and many great places to eat. Including the new Mexico restaurant just opening up which is extremely popular here in Auckland.

House Rules
We have 3 girls who go to school so during the week we would like the noise level to be down. Weekends are fine for later nights.
The kitchen can be used to prepare meals and please clean up after yourself.
Please do not invite strangers to our home, if you would like a friend to come and visit please talk to me about it first.

I had a great stay with Charlene and her family they are friendly and fun loving, I was made to feel part of the family for my entire stay. The room was spacious and comfortable with all the fixtures and fittings to suit my needs. I would seriously recommend anyone looking for a home stay to look no further. I can honestly say that through my stay with Charlene and family I have gained great friends as well.

it was really a good experience for me to stay with this lovely family. I was far away from my family and friends for 2 months, and their warm welcome made me feel almost at home. Charlene gave to everyone the love of a mom. And the other members of the family were adorable. No doubt, it was enjoyable !

A very lovely and welcoming family. I really enjoyed staying with them, because it was like my second home. All family members are absolutely friendly, open and helpful, the rooms are clean and cosy and the meals healthy and delicious. Therefore I´m sure everybody will feel very comfortable like I did.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
