Do you feel at home out of it is our main objective. We do not want to feel on holiday supported by tourist itineraries so often out of date, for that matter all rooms will have available information always up to date on events, restaurants, and options that the Municipality of Oeiras, Cascais, Sintra and Lisbon have during your stay . Any alternative program who wants to help us, we will give all the information necessary to make your stay as pleasant as possible, just knock on my door since we are neighbors. With this we seek a proximity tourism, we want to get involved in day-to-day life of people living here. It is always good to know that we are in the right place and not next door, which often happens to us when we travel to places where they do not know anyone.

About the Area
We are located 20 minutes by car from the historic center of Lisbon and 5 minutes by car from Oeiras. The property is 300 meters from the beach and just off the access ramp to Paço de Arcos Train Station.
All double and twin rooms at the guest house feature a private bathroom with a hairdryer, flat-screen cable TV, free Wi-Fi, iPod docking station and views over the city.
Guests can prepare their meals in the comfortable communal kitchen, which has all the necessary utensils to prepare food. Several local restaurants are available within 300 meters of the property, most serving the region's traditional fish dishes.
There is a lounge area, with sofas and a TV, where guests can comfortably relax and take a break from a day's sightseeing. The Páteo area is ideal for a peaceful stay and to catch up on reading. There, weather permitting, guests can have their meals on the installed terrace.

Cet Guest House PAÇO DE ARCOS. est formidable. Une chambre spacieuse des parties communes décorer avec un très bon goût. Une petite terrasse de plein pieds dans un quartier résidentiel à 2m du Tran pour se rendre à Lisbonne centre (20mn), 15 minutes de la première plage. Plusieurs commerces et restaurants, supermarché, une fantastique boulangerie. En total autonomie (idéale pour un couple). Et bien sûr l’accueil absolument chaleureux de Maria Joao, joignable à tout moment. Bref une très belle adresse et une très belle rencontre. João

The bed and breakfast of Maria is an excellent place to stay to visit Lisbon and surroundings. Only 20 minutes by (cheap) train and we were in the heart of the capital or in Cascais. The trainstation is only a one-minute-walk away. The room is clean; has good beds and a spacious bathroom. In contrast to the website Maria serves no breakfast, but there's a good bakery and lunchroom nearby where you can have a nice breakfast and lunch. Maria also provides a good taxiservice. A real good place to come back again. Thanks Maria

Very nice place to stay. We would stay there again. It's in between Cascais and Lisbon and therefore ideal for visiting many great places. The trainstation is just around the corner, but you don't suffor from the noise. In contrast to the information on the website, no breakfast is included. But there is a very good breakfastcafé/lunchcafé/bakery nearby.

I had a lovely stay at Paço de Arcos. The room is exactly like it is on the pictures and the kitchen and bathroom are very well furnished and functional.
The house is located just two minutes away from the train station and is half way between Lisbon and Cascais.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
