The Magic Cottage features in the next series of 'Flavours of Romania' on Netflix.
The Magic Cottage is a newly renovated traditional house in the heart of the Salt Region of magical Transylvania.
Beautiful countryside walks can be enjoyed from the house.
I have two rooms available to guests, The Terrace Room upstairs and The Garden Room downstairs.
The rooms can be rented together or separately.
The upstairs of the cottage has been converted into an extremely spacious and comfortable room with luxury ensuite bathroom with stand alone bath and hand held shower.
The room has its own terrace overlooking the garden and the forest beyond.
There is a fridge, microwave oven, coffee machine and electric kettle in the room and a selection of teas and coffee are provided.
Toiletries and our local Praid bath salts are offered in the bathroom.
The spacious Garden Room is on the ground floor and has its own ensuite shower room. It has a mini fridge, coffee machine, electric kettle, glasses and a bottle opener. There is a chest of drawers, a hanging rail, armchair and desk and chair for remote working.
The two front windows of the room look over the garden and back window onto the neighboring farmer's wood stack.
An extra bed can be added to the room at an extra charge of 20 Euro per night.
Superfast Internet suitable for all work activities.
Smoking is permitted on the terrace and in the garden.
Guests are given keys to the front gate and the room and are free to come and go as they please.
Guests are welcome to use the cottage kitchen. Please co-ordinate with Rosie and the kittens.
A family of friendly cats live at The Magic Cottage.
There is parking outside the house or in the lane.
The last 750 meters of the road to the cottage is a rustic village lane.
The water supply can be interrupted in times of extreme drought.

About the Area
The Magic Cottage is located just 3 kilometres from Praid and the famous Salt Mine, Salt Valley and The Live Butterfly House and 15 kilometres from the beautiful spa town of Sovata, the lovely Bear Lake and a wide selection of restaurants and supermarkets.
The artisan pottery village of Corund is just 5 kilometres.
The Praid Wellness Centre with its thermal salt swimming pools is walking distance from the cottage.
Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
