I have been a host to International students in Toronto, Canada for many years and now, I am hosting in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. I teach TESL/TESOL online and at home, providing a one to one lesson that really accelerates and develops the skills students need to further develop their English.
I have a one bedroom available to include a light breakfast and ( dinner if needed) and you will be living with my son, he's 14 years old and myself (and Angel my cat).
My son, he's truly fabulous and brightens a room just with his smile. He has met many, many students from around the world and this experience has really enriched his life experience already.
The house is located in Faifley, close to Bearsden with a direct bus taking you straight to Glasgow, to schools and Glasgow University.
Glasgow is rich in Culture and the Arts and surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
There are two train stations 10 minute bus ride away, numerous buses take you to Glasgow from just around the corner of the house, the local shopping centre is a 10 bus ride away or jump to the City to shop. Leisure Centre, libraries, shopping mall, swimming pool, movie theatres, cafes, restaurants are all close to the house.
Living in this neighbourhood offers pretty much everything but the beach! However, jump on a bus/train and you will find spectacular natural beaches.
Overall, a great location, near to the City, close to transit and a pleasant place to call a home away from home.

Our home is on the North side of the River Clyde and 20 minutes from Glasgow and Glasgow Airport and one hour and 15 minutes from Edinburgh.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
NO SMOKING
Showers night only, unless weekend.
Laundry 9pm until 10pm
No overnight guests allowed in House.
If unable to attend meals (should you request) please text to let me know you are not coming home.
No cooking allowed, can put the kettle on for a cuppa or use microwave but not oven.
I have no problem with a guest coming in late but being quiet is a must!
If you are not coming home, you must be over 18 years old.
Under 18, especially 16 years and under, time curfew agreed on by parent/chaperone and myself.
No food in room but snacks are ok.
When calling home to family and friends, be respectful of calling too late or receiving calls late., especially when using a mike.
Keep a clean room.

Smoking Rules
Your host is a non-smoker.
Smoking is not allowed.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
