We live in a fairly large apartment, in a leafy suburb of Cape Town. We are stones throw from the mall and 10 min train ride to the ocean or the city. The apartment has three bedroom two of which are en-suite. Each room has it's own balcony with beautiful views of Table Mountain. There is a roof garden where you can have time out to tan or watch the sunset. My husband I I live alone with our two dogs. The children live close by and visit from time to time.

About the Area
We are situated in a leafy suburb, two roads from a beautiful public gardens. We are on the Main Road, so you will have easy access to the City centre on the bus, taxi or train.
10 minute walk will take you to Cavendish Mall. We are a 10 minute train ride from the city centre or Muizenberg beach.

Valerie is an excellent cook and her meals are relatively inexpensive. If you love dogs she has 4 cute ones!. The only negative I would point out is it is too far from City Centre. Public transport takes 45mins and is easy to access from Main Road. Generally great Hosts.

Thank you for your review Jude, I would just like to point out that we are 10 kms from the city centre, but I guess at this time of the year the roads are more congested due to Christmas shoppers and visitors, so public transport on the Main Road would take a while, but generally it takes 10 - 15 minutes into the city by car. I do hope you enjoy the rest of your time here in Africa.

I spent almost 5 very memorable weeks with Valerie and Felix. I had lots of autonomy, a spacious bedroom and a magnificent view of the mountains. There was plenty of food for breakfast and Valerie graciously did my laundry! The location of the flat is in a beautiful neighbourhood and close to Kenilworth, Wynberg and a nice walk from the Kirstenbosch Garden. I do recommend evening meals with Valerie as she´s a fantastic cook!

I was there for 2 months as I made an internship in Cape Town (Westlake). I recomand this host family without a doubt! I really enjoyed my stay with them.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
