My family and I enjoy the opportunity of meeting new guests and making them feel welcome and at home. We have had both national and international guests stay and have built lasting relationships with some.
My family are fluent in English. We are also familiar with Dutch to a large degree as we are fluent in Afrikaans and the languages are so similar in certain respects. We are keen on learning about other cultures and languages as we value diversity.
You will find my family approachable, helpful and friendly.

Should you require parking we can discuss and arrange as we have parking space available. We are of sober habits; we don't drink alcohol and are non-smokers

About the Area
Our house is in a great location if you want to stay in Rondebosch East. We are within close proximity to Claremont, Wynberg, Kenilworth, Kenwyn, Newlands, Observatory etc. A few minutes to major shopping centres such as Vangate Mall, Cavendisch Square, Maynard Mall and Kenilworth centres; schools and universities such as University of Cape Town (UCT), hospitals such as Groote Schuur and Red Cross War Memorial; public transport for guests requiring it. Don't worry as soon as you complete your booking and pay your deposit online you will get an email with our exact address.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
