I started homestay in 2013. As shown in the picture, as of 2020 I am considered one of the best hosts at Korea’s largest homestay matching company. Among the 9,660 Korean homestays, I am one of the 4 people to receive an A+ rating.
Although I have not been a part of Homestay.com for a very long time, I want to meet many new friends from around the world through this site.
I have a kind husband, a son who was born in 2010, and a daughter who was born in 2013. I do not speak English well, but I have lived in Philippines and Australia, so I understand how tourists and foreign students feel.
My apartment has 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms; I lend 1~3 rooms and 1 bathroom to foreigners. There is a big window, bed, clean blanket, closet, desk, and chair in the room.
My house is located in the western part of central Seoul and it is quiet and safe. The air is clear and cool in the summer and is surrounded by the forest; I can hear the birds singing lovely songs all day.
My house 50 minutes ' drive from the airport. The nearest bus stop is four minutes ' walk from home and has many available bus routes.
You can go to the Yeongcheon traditional market, Seodaemun Independence Park, and Ansan Observatory by foot. There is a beautiful and famous walking path around my house.
Three kilometers from my house from Yonsei University, Ewha Womans University, and Gyeongbok Palace. It takes about 10 minutes by bus.
The nearest convenience store is around the corner. Restaurants are available at Muakjae Station or Dongnimmun Station and I can introduce you to delicious restaurants and local attractions.
Feel free to study Korean language and culture with me!

All guests are welcome in my home, but I prefer the following :
Someone who uses line 3 of the Seoul Metro often
Students of Yonsei University or Ewha Womans University
Teenagers
Those who would like to eat Korean meals regularly.
Seoul travelers
Those who want convenient public transportation and safe and quiet accommodation
Families
a child lover

Most of the people who introduced themselves to me will be booked. I wish you could register the picture if possible.
Thank you very much for your consideration, and I look forward to hosting you in the near future!
Have a nice trip!!

The nearest convenience store is around the corner. Restaurants are available at Muakjae Station or Dongnimmun Station and I can introduce you to delicious restaurants and local attractions.
2/3 of Korea’s terrain is made up of mountains. Some houses, schools, and museums are located in the mountains, like our home. Our house is close to the subway station, and since it is in the mountains, the air is clear and the surrounding area is quiet. If you stay at our home, I’m sure you will be satisfied. However, for those who have leg problems or for those who hate exercising, our house will not be the right fit.

Meals

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

Included in the stay
  • Complimentary Light Breakfast
  • Use of Kitchen
Available on request at an extra cost
  • Full Breakfast
  • Half Board

House Rules

The most important rule is to let me know if you eat or not and to stay quiet after 10 p.m.

‣ You can use refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster, electric pot, meal tools, washing machine (including detergent), water purifier, vacuum cleaner, iron, shoe closet, towel, soap, shampoo and umbrella in the common areas.

‣ Breakfast usually begins between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.
If you want lunch or dinner each time you must pay 8,000KRW
Dinner usually begins between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Please let me know in advance if you don't need a meal.
If you cook, please clean up any mess and your dishes.
For safety's sake, you can cook with a stove only when I'm here.
Some guests use the kitchen and cannot clean it up. So I prefer a guest who eats my food or eats outside. Of course you can use the kitchen, but if you want to cook at home every meal time, please find another accommodation.
I don't serve meals after 7:30 p.m.

‣ You don’t have a curfew
Warm water comes quicker when the tap is on low pressure (so don’t blast the faucet for warm water to come)
Please clean up your hair in the bathroom (shower, toilet, sink, etc.)
And please leave the door open afterwards.
After taking a shower, tilt your shower shoes so the water can drain (if they are wet.)
Please be quiet from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

‣ Drinking inside the guestroom is allowed.

‣ The washing machine is available for use from 6 a.m.~9 p.m.
I will provide the laundry detergent.
You can use the washing machine up to twice a week.
The laundry rack is in the laundry room and the balcony of the guest room.

‣ Bringing over friends is allowed but please let me know beforehand.

‣ Please knock before entering someone else’s room.

‣ If you break something in the house then you must replace it or reimburse us for it.

‣ Recycling bins are located in front of the bathroom,
(Paper, vinyl, plastic, can, glass)

‣ Please make sure no one sees password for the front door when you enter it.

‣ Please tell me if something is unpleasant or bothering you.

Homestay Payment Method
1. Payment should be received in Korean Won on the day of arrival
2. Wire the payment through a bank before arriving

How to receive a refund for a long term stay
Everything except 1 month of the remaining time will be refunded

Precautions
Those who enter Korea will be quarantined at self-quarantine or separate facilities for 14 days in accordance with quarantine authorities' policy. My house is available after this period. (As far as I know, the temporary accommodation fee is 100,000 won a day, including meals)

Smoking is not allowed.

Staying with Sujin and her family was great. Sujin is an incredibly warm person. I felt welcomed immediately when I entered the door.
On my first night she and her family took me to some street food place which was really awesome. She has also helped me a lot with planning my trip.
If you plan to stay in Seoul I can highly recommend this place.

I traveled with my girlfriend, we spent 4 nights at Sujins home and it was super cool.
Sujin is really kind and positive, always willing to help and has a cute happy family. She is a great cook as well - meals were super delicious :)
The apartment is spacious, well-equipped, in a perfect location. Nature and city center are both near, public transport is cool, neighborhood is good.
I hope we will have the chance to visit Korea and stay at Sujins home again :)

Sujin is a warm and welcoming host. She and her family provided the perfect introduction to Seoul. The location is very convenient to accessing the northern half of the city, and is great for those wishing a quiet, less frenzied place to stay. Highly recommended!

If I could give Sujin more than 5 stars I would. Her family was very warm, loving, and fun, and the home was always clean. If there were any issues, it was easy to discuss them and find a solution. I stayed with them for 3 months, and in this time we grew very close. Her adorable daughter Hyesu is a very energetic and happy child who loves to play with guests and practice her English. Her son Junsu and her husband are very funny and playful. Everyone in the family will engage with you and allow you to practice your Korean in a comfortable environment (if you are there to study). I ate nearly all my meals at home as her home cooked meals were FANTASTIC.

She is also willing to give you recommendations on places to visit, and will sometimes invite you do fun activities with her family. Sujin's English was very good, and because of this (and the help of a translator) we got to discuss a variety of topics about culture, politics, cooking, etc. allowing me to understand Korea on a deeper level. Even after leaving, we still keep in touch and share pictures. I feel like I have made lifelong friends in her family. If you get the chance, you should definitely stay with this lovely, sweet, wonderful family.

Sujin and her family were very friendly and helpful. The homecooked food was very delicious and I ended up staying longer than initially planed. Her English was good enough to talk about some non-touristy things which gave me an interesting new perspective on a few things.

All in all I had a great time and highly recommend this homestay.

My stay with Sujin and her family was absolutely wonderful. I stayed in this homestay for four months while I was on a semester abroad at Yonsei. The location is extremely close to Sinchon so it is very convenient for students attending Ewha, Yonsei, or Sogang University. Sujin and her family are extremely kind, generous, and accommodating people who did everything they could to make me feel welcome and make my stay in Korea as enjoyable as possible. I highly recommend this homestay to anybody who is looking for a great experience with an amazing Korean family.
