We are a family of 4 members. My partner Miguel and I are 49 years old and have 2 children. I am a Early Childhood and Primary Education Teacher, and my partner works for an automotive company. We love nature and spending time at home with family.
Miguel really likes the countryside, the mountains, playing paddle tennis... He is the handyman of the house. I could say that he dares with everything!
And I contribute the creative part to the family. I'm always doing new things. I like learning and craftsmanship.
Now that our children are a little older, we like the idea of hosting students (children, young people or adults) at home, to help them get to know and learn our culture and language, and to be able to offer them a family environment where they feel welcomed. We believe it can be a very enriching experience for everyone. An opportunity for linguistic exchange that we undoubtedly want our children to take advantage of.
We live in a very familiar and quiet urbanization. We have a swimming pool and a large community garden. Our house is located in a very quiet and familiar neighborhood in the capital of Madrid. 5 minutes from Adolfo Suárez Airport and IFEMA (Madrid Fairgrounds). And next to places that we love, like Parque Juan Carlos I or El Capricho. The location of our house is privileged, we are a 4-minute walk from the Alameda de Osuna metro (line 5), directly to the center (Gran Vía, Callao...) In addition, we are lucky to live a few meters from the Brezos Sports Club. In which tennis and padel tournaments are held. They have very complete facilities with a large swimming pool, restaurant, sports fields... We also have a municipal sports center very close with a heated pool, library and all the services you may need (shops, doctors, restaurants, hairdressers...)

About the Area
Our house is located in Madrid Capital, in one of the best-rated neighborhoods in the capital, Alameda de Osuna. It is a very quiet and familiar neighborhood. It is 5 minutes from Adolfo Suárez de Barajas Airport. It has very good communication with the different districts of the city and especially with the central district (direct metro line 5 to Gran Vía and Callao), among many other connections. We are surrounded by parks, so practicing outdoor sports is very common in the neighborhood. There are numerous supermarkets, schools, restaurants, cafes, shops, clinics, libraries, gyms...

We offer the room to travelers and students who come to know Madrid, to learn Spanish...
Before accepting a request we need to know our guest, see a photograph or video of them, know what the purpose of their trip is, what they will do during their stay, their tastes and interests, what they do, where they come from...
These must respect the rules agreed upon in the family, schedules, use and care of spaces...
They cannot let other people into the house.
Other additional rules can be agreed upon to ensure good coexistence for all.
There is always someone at home, Miguel, me or the girl who helps us at home, so you won't need the house key to enter or leave.
Smoking Rules
Your host is a non-smoker.
Smoking is not allowed.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
