Us...
I'm Mark and your co-host with my partner/boyfriend of 5 years. Ching and I have been lucky enough to travel extensively and for long periods of time - visiting and enjoying the people and culture of a lot of the world.
The Apartment...
Our apartment is best suited to active tourists who plan to explore around Taipei. The apartment is on the first floor (ground floor) with secure but easy access from the street.
The apartment is quite new. The design is contemporary and functional. The lines are clean and uncluttered with high ceilings.
It is well-appointed through-out. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full range of appliances. The bathroom has a bathtub and rain shower. The toilet is equipped with a Japanese-style bidet (washlet). Both the bathroom, toilet and living room are shared with the hosts.
The apartment is not child-proof, so we can not accommodate children.
The balconies offer safe and easy storage options for bicycles. We have had a number of cyclist stay with us.
This entire apartment complex a SMOKE FREE zone. That means you may NOT smoke ANYWHERE inside the complex. NOT on the balcony. NOT on the rooftop. NOT in the gardens. NOT anywhere in the complex. Additionally, please don't wear street shoes inside the house but house slippers are provided.
Breakfast is provided and consists of tea/coffee/juice, toast with spread/honey, breakfast cereal or muesli and fresh local fruit and is served self-help.

There are security personnel and CCTV cameras (at entrance ways and public spaces) in operation 24/7.
***We are available to welcome you "just about" any time during weekends. However, weekdays are slightly more difficult. Check in MUST be before 12:30pm or after 7:45pm Mon, Wed and Thu. On Tuesday and Friday it MUST to be before 3:30pm or after 9:45pm. I wish we could be more flexible, but sadly work gets in the way. *** These times are NOT negotiable. ***
The Neighborhood...
The neighborhood is a good mix of old and new. There are a number of new apartment complexes nearby, but the traditional market restaurants and stalls are still very active. The the traditional market is a great place to people watch and try your hand at some light bargaining.
The MRT (subway) is not far away and this gives excellent access to the entire city.
The main natural thermal hot spring area for Taipei in Beitou and this is on the same line as our station (Zhuwei) and is only 10 minutes away. There are some great hot spring resorts in that area and up on Yongminshan.
Taipei's fantastic riverside bicycle lane is right next to the MRT for biking or walking. Walking to the north will bring you to the bustle of Tamsui. Walking south will take you to the beautiful Guandu temple and nature reserve.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
Sorry, no pets or smoking inside or outside. Visitors are not permitted, ONLY registered guests on the premises please.
Commercial photography or filmmaking is not allowed.
All guests must be registered at the time of check in and we reserve to right to view travel documents.
Unfortunately, the apartment is not child-proofed, so we can not accommodate children.
Respect the property and our neighbors please by keeping noise down after 10:30pm, Thank you.
We do not charge a cleaning fee (accordingly your help in keeping the space clean and tidy is appreciated).
When you go out please turn/shut off all air-conditioning, lights, appliances, and heating.
This is not the place to "try" hold a party - the on-site security guards have instructions from us to promptly evict anyone who is creating disturbance/nuisance. (Yes, seriously)
The Responsible Guest agrees to pay Host for damages or loss for any Covered Property caused by guests. Any breach of these rules may result the reservation being terminated and fees forfeited. Additionally, guests will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
Smoking Rules
Your host is a non-smoker.
Smoking is not allowed.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
