We live in a small hamlet, Picketston, 5 miles from Cardiff airport, 3 miles from Llantwit major which offers a variety of pubs and restaurants, a lovely local beach and a direct train route into Cardiff City.
We have two rooms available, one double, one twin with shared bathroom between the two.
We have a rear garden that is totally private with some horse stables next door. We have a private car park area to the front of our property where guests can safely park their cars.
We use our garden during the summer months to hold family BBQs and socialise with family and friends.
Guests can make use of our dining room and sitting room whenever possible.
We have one daughter still at home and two Jack Russell terriers and as our others have recently flown the nest we can offer rooms for visitors to our area.

Words cannot do justice to say how wonderful our stay with Julie and her lovely family was. Julie went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure our Welsh experience was very very special indeed. We now have many extraordinary memories we will treasure always. Thank you Julie and family!

I absolutely loved staying with Julie and her family for Christmas. We had so many adventures, Julie is the most hospitable and lovely host and both Andrew and Izzy were hilarious fun throughout my stay. Julie is an incredible cook and is such a hard worker and I absolutely recommend staying here if you're considering homestay. Julie did her absolute best to make me feel comfortable and happy throughout my visit, so the home always felt warm and comforting, like you're a part of the family. Christmas lunch was delicious!
We visited the local rocky beach, visited St Fagan's Natural History Museum (this was amazing), explored the history behind a nearby beautiful Church, visited local areas and did lots of little activities over my stay. I loved spending time with Izzy, whom I now consider my Welsh little sister, and loved taking the dogs for a walk and playing games on the iPad. Wished I could have stayed here a lot longer, but unfortunately had to travel around after my stay.
I really recommend staying here if you want a warm and friendly introduction to Wales!
