I live in a Victorian house in Bournemouth, only 10 minutes on the bus, and 25 minutes walk from the town centre with its beautiful gardens and our lovely Blue Flag beach. Bournemouth University is only 10 minutes walk away.

Two minutes walk from my house is the suburb of Winton which has shopping, restaurants and several coffee shops and bars. Also nearby is the popular Charminster with its many international restaurants.

Bournemouth is between the Jurassic Coast and the beautiful New Forest and only a two and a half hour coach ride, or 2 hour and 10 minute train ride to London.

I have two grown up sons, one who lives with me during university breaks, the other has his own home nearby. I have a lovely dog.

I am happy to provide a light breakfast, a map of Bournemouth and lots of advice, directions and smiles.

About the Area

Bournemouth is situated on the South Coast of England between the wonderful Jurassic Coast and the beautiful New Forest with it's famous wild pony's. It is a 2 hour and ten minute train journey to London and 1 hour bus journey to Salisbury. Salisbury Cathedral’s Magna Carta is the best preserved of the four remaining originals. Stonehenge is nearby.

You would be staying in my home, which is more than 100 years old, in the suburb of Winton which has shopping with coffee shops, bars, takeaways and restaurants.

We are a ten minute drive from the train and bus station (Travel Interchange) and 20 minutes from Bournemouth Airport.

The bus stop is only a couple of minutes walk from the house and it is a ten minute bus ride into the town centre where you will find ample shopping, lovely central gardens and our Blue Flag Beach. In the evening there is an active nightlife in the form of Cinema's, Nightclubs, Theatre's, Casino's, Restaurants and Bars.

If you prefer to walk it is 25 minutes through a nice park during the day or in the evening via well lit, safe streets.

We have several different free festivals throughout the year, including a four day Air Festival held on and around the beach during August and a 3 day 'Wheels' festival at the end of May.
