We have 2 rooms available. A Lovely single/small double room and a large double with super king size bed in our happy Victorian family home on a quiet residential street 3 miles from the centre of Bristol. Also on a direct bus route to UWE Frenchay campus which takes 20 mins.
Your hosts, Sarah and Frankie, have welcomed guests from around the world for a number of years now and enjoy meeting people from all nationalities.
The smaller room is a nice quiet room overlooking the garden with access to bath and shower facilities. The room has a double bed and can fit two people if required. The larger double is at the front of the house with a large bay window and lots of light. There are 2 bathrooms in the house, 1 with shower and the other with a bath. We have a large kitchen which you are free to use and you are welcome to join us in our large, light and airy lounge/diner with cosy woodburner in the winter. In the summer we throw the French doors open onto the lovely sunny south facing garden.
We are close to major bus routes into the centre of Bristol which is a 15 minute bus ride away. Train links are also close by. On our doorstep is a lovely large park, Eastville Park, with great walks along the river to Snuff Mills and Oldbury Court with great views across Bristol. We have bikes here for you to borrow should you wish to go for a cycle ride along the Bristol to Bath Cycle Path which is easily accessed from our house and takes you straight into the centre of Bristol along a traffic free route.
We share the house with our two children, aged 5 and 8, and two young cats.

About the Area
Our lovely Victorian family home is located 3 miles from the centre of Bristol and in a direct bus route to UWE Frenchay campus which takes 20 minutes. Close to local shops and restaurants with good links by bus and train into the centre and beyond. On our doorstep is a wonderful park, Eastville Park, which has a large lake abundant with wildlife and a resident grey heron. You can walk along the river that runs through the park up to Snuff Mills and Oldbury Court for beautiful views of Bristol and beyond. The room is a single overlooking the garden with use of the shower and bath facilities. Guests are also welcome to our large kitchen and relax in our spacious living/dining room. We also have a lovely sunny garden which guests are free to use. We have 2 children, aged 4 and 7, and 2 cats and we have welcomed many international guests into our home over the years.

Meals

Please be aware that this is a family home so respect for this is essential. You will have your own key but we request that if coming in late, you do so quietly. No other overnight guests are allowed.

Die Familie ist ganz nett aber man muss sich bewusst sein, dass die Kinder ab 7 Uhr morgens sehr laut sind, ausschlafen unmöglich, da das Haus sehr ringhörig ist. Es ist ausserdem sehr unordentlich und besonders die Küche ist dauerhaft dreckig. Das Zimmer ist sehr klein und man verfügt kaum über Stauraum, zudem ist es eiskalt im ganzen Haus. Viel positives kann ich leider nicht sagen, ich habe mich nicht wirklich wohl gefühlt und verliess die Familie 1.5 Monate früher als geplant wodurch ich sehr viel Geld verlor.

Absolutely fantastic! This was my first homestay and because of Sarah and her lovely family, it was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend a stay with this nice family.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
