John and Lise were wonderful hosts and they made us feel very welcome from the moment we stepped in their door. They made us feel part of their family and nothing was too much for them.
We had our breakfast with them and enjoyed evening chats with them. We found that there was a lot we had in common. The room we had was adquate for our needs(room with double bed). Considering we were with John and Lise most evenings we only needed the room to go to sleep in. The house is quite rightly described as cosy, so don't expect a sprawling manor. The only downside that I need to make is the advert in Homestay stated that it was En Suite in room. This is not the case. It is a shared bathroom and toilet. This initially made me a little uncomfortable considering I thought it was En-Suite. HOWEVER, John and Lise were so warm and so made us feel a part of their family, the case of the shared bathroom and toilet was not an issue at all.
John and Lise live in a lovely part of Devon. They are centrally placed for touring Devon, and we thoughly enjoyed our stay.
