About the Area
My house is in a rural location, 5 miles from the M23, 10 miles north of Brighton city centre and 20 minutes from Gatwick Airport. There is a local bus every half hour to Brighton. The local train station at Hassocks provides a 50 minute train journey to London Victoria.

Helen is delightful, very homely atmosphere and nothing too much trouble. Four hearts only because, having requested and needed a ground floor room, the accompanying 'bathroom' facilities are very basic and also roadside parking could be an issue.
Helen is a charming, warm-hearted lady, she made us feel like friends. Her little house is simpel and romantic and we had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean, our bedroom small and and the bed comfortable, it was quiet and we slept very well. We spend two pleasant evenings talking.
Superb Location in an Exquisite Location In rural England yet Minutes From Hickstead Showgrounds.Short Drive To Brighton and This part of the UK is Gorgeous...Helen is Lovely..A Casual Attitude House with a small Private Garden and an Artists Studio overlooking This Garden...Helen is so Welcoming and Her Home becomes Yours when you are there...I wilol Return,Hopefully and Soon if at all Possible.....Thank You Helen.
Helen was very welcoming. She went out of her way to make our visit easy and comfortable. The cottage is charming and in a very quiet location. The room was clean and comfortable. She was flexible regarding check in and breakfast time. The stay was good value and I would stay there again.

Je n'ai pas beaucoup de temps à vous dédier mais je peux vous dire une chose : je serai rester beaucoup plus longtemps chez Helen, malheureusement elle partait en vacances. Mais je reviendrai dans son joli cottage, si accueillant. Helen est une personne délicieuse, prête à aider pour que l'on se sente chez soi.

Helen is an amazing host. Her house is a wonderful place for whose who want to enjoy an atmosphere of a real English village. Everything is very authentic and special. The house is like a museum and a maze. And by the way, Helen provides the best bedroom in the entire world. So cozy and beautiful that it seems like time stops when you are here.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 199 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
