About the Homestay
We live on a busy road in Kingston Upon Thames in a very safe neighbourhood, very close to the train station - which gets you into Waterloo - Central London, in 25 minutes. From Waterloo there are various tube lines and buses which will take you wherever you wish to go in London. There is also a 24 hour bus from Central London which runs close by. Kingston itself is a very historic town with lots to see and do, it has a University so lots of cafes, bars and nightclubs as well as historic places of interest to visit. We live within walking distance of Richmond Park a huge royal park with wild deer and perfect for long walks but also the river Thames which is great for local walks. Our house has 4 bedrooms but our children have now left home, so there are only my husband and myself here now. We have a 10 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Tia, who loves people, so will make you very welcome (but is not allowed upstairs). We have a small double room with a king sized bed on offer with an en suite shower room for 2 people sharing and it's own TV. Plus a single room for one person, also with a TV - who will use the family bathroom soley for themselves because we have our own bathroom. We also have a chairlift for anyone not able bodied enough to climb the stairs. Along with the basic light breakfast of tea/coffee/juice, fruit salad, cereal and/or toast, we will provide an evening meal (traditional English food) if required, at a cost of £7 per head.

Catherine and her husband are really kind and helpful people. The house is cosy and comfortable. It is near the train station. The breakfast is great! My husband and me were really pleased to meet a real English couple!
Very kind lovely lady!!
Would stay there again!
Lovely stay with Catherine and Mervyn in Kingston upon Thames. They were very friendly and helpful. The house was lovely and clean, as was the room. Will definitely stay again if I’m in that area. Thanks guys!
Catherine and her husband are very kind people. They are available to give information and they were very patient with me who I'm a beginner in english.
I was feeling at home and certainly I will come back.
Great hosts. Willing to wait up for me as I was arriving very late. Included a good healthy breakfast. Clean rooms and bathroom and welcoming hosts.
Stay here is amazing!
Catherine and her husband are very kind!
The room is beautiful and also the whole house!
Catherine was extremely helpful and kind in all of our email conversations. Unfortunately our house sale fell through and with the stress I forgot to inform her of this until I remembered the day before I was due to stay.
I would definitely recommend Catherine to others based on her thorough and helpful manner before our stay was meant to take place.
Loved staying with Catherine, she was so sweet and helpful, House and room was clean and it's a good neighborhood with close train stop(5 minute walk, 25m train ride to central london) - food within 2 blocks walk - I was barely there and she made it super easy to come and go as i pleased.
The house is well located close to public transport and the owners are both very friendly and helpful. The double room is at the back of the house with nice views over the garden and is quiet at night.
A good breakfast is provided with tea or coffee, juices, toast with various spreads, choice of cereals and fruit on offer.
