We are a friendly family who lives in the serene countryside of Lincoln. We are happy to welcome students from any cultures. We have hosted 6 international students so far and made friends with them.

About the Area

Our house is located 2 mins walk from bus station. Bus comes every hour. We are 20 mins away from the Lincoln City centre. There a village store in our area which is 5 mins walk from our house. The nearest station (Saxilby) is 8 mins drive.

House Rules

1. Strictly NO SMOKING inside the house.
2. Guests are expected to maintain - Cleanliness, order and low sound at all times.
3. Guests are encouraged to take their laptop/tablet/ipad/mobile with them at all times and not leave them lying around the house for safety purposes. Host family will not be liable for any accidents that will happen with guests' gadgets.
4. Guests need to inform the host family for any personal arrangement - like to see friends, go to the city centre etc., 2 days in advance.
5. Guests do come back from the by 11PM. Pls inform host family if arriving late due to some unavoidable circumstances.
6. Guests are allowed to make a phone call from host family's landline, but has to inform the host family before doing so.
7. Guests are allowed to store their drinks in the fridge. Pls make the host family aware if doing so.
8. Guests are NOT ALLOWED to move nor take out furnitures and other things that belong to the owner of the property.
9. Guests are NOT ALLOWED to cook at all times. We encourage guests to put away they're plates/glasses/utensils after their meal.
10. Guests should report any damages to property (big or small) to the host family immediately so it can be assessed whether they will charged extra for that.
11. Guests are encouraged to lock the bedroom they're occupying when they're going out even for a short time.
12. Visitors of guests are not allowed in the property. We advise to meet up with them in a cafe in town centre or in a park nearby.
13. Guests are not allowed to take breakables - glasses/cups/mugs/plates to the bedroom to avoid spillage and breakage. If you do have accidents of spillage/broke something, pls clean them yourself.
14. Any Permanent/Stubborn Stains on pillows/beddings like Henna Tatoo and/or Hair Dye found will be considered as a fine/charge of £50.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
