We are a relaxed and easygoing family and enjoy having lodgers and giving a warm welcome. We're used to helping guests with their English as a foreign language.

We've got lots of different interests including sports, health and fitness, reading, music, Netflix, cooking, and seeing friends.

We prefer homestay guests who are descent & respectful and who'd like to chat and feel part of the household. We're happy to cook together or separately, whichever you prefer.

The spare bedroom is a double room, with double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and shelf units. It's on the ground floor with a shared bathroom (shower, toilet, basin, cupboard). It's recently been refurbished to a high standard and the furniture is new.

There is shared use of a large lounge, dining area and kitchen that has been newly refurbished.

There is shared use of the front and rear garden.

About the Area

Our house is in a quiet residential area that is accessible to Manchester City Centre, near a tram stop, and 2 minutes from the bus stop.

The canal is 3 minutes walk from home, where you can walk, run, cycle or row. From there you can walk into Sale town centre and Manchester City Centre, or the other way out into the countryside.

The local area has shops, restaurants & takeaways and parks.

Please pay a 15% deposit at least two days before arrival. You can cancel your booking before arriving but please note, the deposit is non-refundable. If for some reason we must cancel your booking, we will refund you the deposit.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
