Situated about 6 miles south of the centre of Manchester and 2 miles south west of Stockport we are situated between the stations / centres of Cheadle Hulme and Stockport. There is a bus stop 5 mins away or 25 minute walk to Stockport or 2 buses (maybe an hour total) or walk and train (min half hour) to Manchester.
For cafes, bars and restaurants Cheadle Hulme and Stockport are the closest centres. There are many centres a short journey on the train, such as Manchester, Didsbury, and Alderley Edge.
There are some nice walks through local parks and there is the Peak District with hills and some forests a car or train ride away.

The staying have passed all right.
Always got the right information when I need it.
Had a lot of the mutual interests to talk about at the evenings.
Yes, I had a great time here. Jonathan and Andy were welcoming hosts and we talked about a lot of interesting topics. The house is nice, in a quiet area, and I got a good (and much-needed!) sleep there. Stockport I really liked too: I didn't go to the Hat Museum, but there's an excellent indoor market in the centre of town, plus some fairly cool vintage shops in the same area.
