Hi,
I live in a spacious, comfortable townhouse in Chicago. I am retired and my children have moved away. I am friendly and outgoing, and I enjoy meeting people of all cultures and backgrounds.
Townhouse with use of kitchen washer and dryer. The room is spacious, and the neighborhood is very quiet and safe. The house itself has three floors, a large fully-equipped kitchen, and an enclosed patio. The living room is spacious and comfortable. Within 10 minute walking distance of my home are many restaurants, including: Japanese, Thai, Turkish, Italian, and many others.
There are international supermarkets within walking distance, and this area is close to the lakefront, beaches, downtown, and lots of concert and entertainment options.
My home is near the University of Chicago, and the neighborhood (Hyde Park) is green, safe, secure, and a short bus and train ride to downtown Chicago. DePaul University, the University of Chicago, Kaplan, and the Illinois Institute of Technology are all within a short bus or train ride from my home.
Students who want to practice their English are very welcome to stay here! I love to chat and I want you to love Chicago as much as I love it.

About the Area
My home is located near the lakefront in Chicago, in the Hyde Park neighborhood. This area is very diverse, with lots of American and foreign students, a park across the street, and several buses and trains nearby. You can take a train or bus downtown in about 20 minutes, and during the summer it's a lot of fun to bike ride on the lake!

You have to pay for everything. AC wasn't working and it was extremely hot. Sometimes it got suffocating with smoke.
Nonetheless the bedroom and toilet were clean. Still waiting for her to return our security money.
How do I book?

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
