Experience elegance in the country in your spacious apartment on our 25 acre wooded estate. Enjoy expansive mountain views, a full kitchen, game room and hot tub close to lots of local fun activities.
We are 25 min. from Charlottesville and 12 from Shenandoah Natl Park & the Blue Ridge Parkway. Ten minutes (or less) to multiple wineries & breweries or choose to stay onsite and:
Soak in the Hot Tub, Watch Sunrises from Your Deck, Hike, Relax, Retreat, De-Stress, or just Experience Nature!
Discover our private stream, fish in our pond, collect berries or experience "forest bathing" (nature mindfulness/relaxation) with our onsite Master Naturalist.
Additional Info
The homestay space is our entire walkout basement. It is for rent entirely, & was designed that way. We live upstairs in the same home building.

About the Area
Many local activities center around the University of Virginia (UVA) in Charlottesville or Shenandoah National Park (Blue Ridge Parkway), but there is SO much more to do around us.
In addition to wine tasting at the numerous local vineyards, many wineries feature summer music so you can sit outside sipping wine while listening to local bands. Some of our local orchards even offer music at sunset, or you can tour the Brew Ridge Trail, Scenic Hwy 151, or watch local polo teams play 5 minutes away.
Some guests decide to stay on our property, where you can relax, de-stress, take a short walk to our private stream, fish our pond or just soak in our hot tub. For nature lovers we offer guided nature hikes on our property, led by our certified Virginia Master Naturalist. Learn the local plants, discover black bear markings, or marvel at how all life is interconnected.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
- No pets (we must be notified & provided extensive documentation 14 days in advance of any service animals)
- No parties or events
- Guests are responsible for children’s safety and behavior while on the property; your space is not child-proof so please take this into consideration
- Any guests other than those on reservation must be prior-approved by Paradise owners/operator
- No open flames on property (e.g., candles, grills, campfires)
- For safety & smoke concerns, owners must light the woodstove; any guests starting a fire will be charged $50 plus cleaning/replacement costs for any smoke damage
- Guests acknowledge that the outdoors contains physical objects, plants and animals that could result in injury
- Fishing is for catch and release; no harming of other wildlife on property
- To avoid broken glass, use plastic glasses on deck and with hot tub (plenty in the kitchen)
- Please note that hot tub is shared with owners, but we usually leave it just for you
- Any scheduled onsite massage you cancel without sufficient notice may incur a fee

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
