David and I are an active, upbeat couple who are very into home renovation, mid-century modern furnishings, and retro/vintage decorating. We are always working on some home improvement project or another.
Our home is a fun 1953 split level with tons of character. The downstairs floor has a private entrance that we have turned into this lovely suite for guests. We are a mile from Emory University, the CDC, the VA, and a little over a mile to the Decatur Square. Don't let the term "downstairs suite" scare you. This is a gorgeous space filled with light and special amenities like a fireplace, exposed brick walls, carpeting, recently renovated bathroom, and vintage games and puzzles. No use of kitchen but you have your own coffee maker, small fridge, and microwave. Enjoy your own private terrace complete with firepit and sitting area overlooking trees and birds. Close to a nature preserve and a 3 mile boardwalk along South Fork Peachtree Creek. We are a neighborhood of walkers and nature lovers. Built in the 1950s, Medlock Park has gracious brick ranches that are set back from the road with large yards. We are conveniently situated on our lot so that you don't even know you're in the middle of the city. Hawks, owls, migrating birds all frequently visit our yard to say hello. Come stay with us and we guarantee you will enjoy yourselves.

About the Area
Our house is 1 mile from Emory University in a 1950's ranch style intown neighborhood. We have tons of restaurants, bars, and shops all around us. Beautiful, scenic walking trails, with lots of trees and a nature preserve all within a half mile. Even though we are considered an intown neighborhood, it is quiet and serene.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
