Hello! We are a very friendly family that has lived in this area for over 30 years. Our apartment is on the first floor of a three-flat in a residential neighborhood. Very close to trains, shopping, and the lake, bordering on the north side of Chicago. Quiet, safe and clean. Park with tennis courts right across the street. Perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful place to study or work. Large fenced in yard. We have a medium-sized friendly dog who loves people.

About the Area
Our home is across the street from a middle school and park. We have amazing neighbors who care for each other. Two blocks away are several grocery stores, local shops, restaurants and coffee shops. The lake is a 15 minute walk east. The trains are two blocks away and go into Chicago or to the north suburbs.

House Rules
Quiet hours from 9pm-7am. Upstairs live three musicians who follow the same rules :). No smoking, drugs, excessive alcohol, or overnight guests. Keep room and common areas clean.
Please keep in mind that we require our guests to submit us a copy of their ID before check-in by email, which will be provided once the booking is confirmed online.
Please send us a video message introducing yourself and explaining the reason for your trip.
Smoking is not allowed indoors.
Please keep our home secure and lock doors and windows when leaving the house.
Feel free to use the kitchen but please clean up after yourself.
No additional pets are allowed inside.
Please do not bring strangers into our home. If you would like to invite a friend over, ask first.
Please respect our home but feel comfortable. Treat it as your own house for the duration of your stay.
Please keep quiet after 9pm.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
