Hi I am a retired educator. I worked as a paraprofessional for 19yrs. Since retiring my husband and I decided we would like to contribute in providing housing for students looking to study abroad or local students during internship, grad school and undergrad. We have no pets. This is our first year hosting students. We have four adult children, with one grad student/son presently residing with us. We live in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood, with parks and tennis courts. just one block away. We have 2 bedrooms available and a common kitchen with microwave refrigerator and electric burner we also have washer and dryer for laundry once a week included in fee and an extra refrigerator. There are plenty of restaurants, and shopping in walking distance The library is near bus and train station. We are about a fifteen minute walk to the the Metra to Chicago. I know you will love it here. Homewood is a safe and friendly community.

We require that our guest pay 25% of the booking total to us in advance of the booking to hold your room (on top of the 15% service fee paid to Homestay.com) Full payment is required before check-in.
You may pay in 2 installments.
1. First installment payment 25% of the total booking fee in addition to the 15% service fee paid to Homestay.com.
2. Second installment payment remaining balance, including taxes is required 7 business days prior to check-in Via Pay Pal

CANCELLATION POLICY:
We ask our guest to give us at least 7 business days notice for any cancellation. Any cancellation later than this WILL NOT BE REFUNDED."

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
